Description

Serving as a direct sequel to Armored Core 3, Silent Line: Armored Core sees mankind starting to reclaim the surface after a life underground. And when people start vanishing beyond the mysterious Silent Line, players have to bring in a team of their own to investigate.

Moreover, the improved visuals and the mecha aesthetics just complement the stellar AC AI that kept players on their toes. Of course, players who prefer Armored Core gameplay that’s much faster won’t necessarily enjoy Another Age. Claim To Fame: Armored Core 2: Another Age

The story is also a little confusing, honestly it's kind of hard sometimes to know where to go (the scanner helps a lot in this) and what is happening, listening to the dialogs. The majority of the game passes in urban scenarios, with many building that you can't even climb with your initial thruster... The songs are great, now the voice-overs ... I'll tell you, it seems that every woman has the same voice, at least a few other main characters have more charisma and are better voiced. In the effects department, they are are adequate with the action on the screen... when switching from combat mode to scanner mode, you have the same **** voice announcing that, over and over, and over... for God's sake, do not know how many times I hear it. The animations are cool between phases, made with the game engine ... Of course the high point beyond the opening, is the design of the robots, which is more raw and mechanical, like real war machines (Mechs), and not the Gundam style, and this, as we know, is one of the characteristics of the franchise.

Unlike other games in the Armored Core franchise, Armored Core: Formula Front is a spinoff that served as the series’ launch title for the PlayStation Portable. As an Architect, players are tasked to build and program ACs that can fight independently of their control. The vast majority of Earth's population is wiped out by a cataclysmic war known as the "Great Destruction". The harsh conditions that result force the few remaining survivors to live underground for fifty years, during which time corporations come to power. The two largest corporations, Chrome and Murakumo Millennium, constantly battle each other for supremacy, causing significant strife among the populace. However, the competition provides endless opportunities for mercenaries called Ravens, who exist independently of the corporations. The player is a Raven and pilots an Armored Core, powerful mecha robots that fight for the highest bidder. Like its earlier counterparts, Armored Core 3 hosts a local multiplayer mode that allows players to fight their friends via split screen or console linking with a Sony I-Link Fire Wire cable. As a new feature, the Fire Wire cable allows for up to 4 players to connect their consoles rather than the previous maximum of 2 players. [10] An offline bot mode for fighting computer opponents is included. [11]The game has a two-player versus mode using a split screen [8] or the PlayStation Link Cable.
