Early into the book simple facts stated incorrectly - example Sunday being thought of as the day for prayers for Muslims by the author (its actually Friday) - made me wonder where else the author had taken liberty with facts. Also, I don’t see how Islam not having a Church should prevent the State from disassociating itself from religion.

For too long, Pakistan has been destroyed by people who don’t need politics…and its main problem has been institutional collapse. Imran Khan has always been a controversial figure, a man who gives rise to hot debate on account of his strong conviction and hard line views. Pakistan: A Personal History provides a unique insider's view of a country unfamiliar to a western audience. With candid storytelling and emotional depth, Imran Khan provides readers with a glimpse into the challenges he faced and the motivations that guided him on his path to success.I had read Javed Miandad’s Cutting Edge where he reflected his cricketing career and dirty games played behind the scenes. He is a man straddling two Worlds and after experiencing a life in the West as a superstar cricketing legend he realised that “East West home is best”. Drawing on the experiences of his own family and his wide travels within his homeland, Pakistan: A Personal History provides a unique insider’s view of a country unfamiliar to a western audience. The Economist has summarized his 'achievements' in the following words: "In three years as Pakistan's leader, General Musharraf has largely bleached out the Islamist colour given to the armed forces by a former dictator, Zia ul Haq.

A very Bold, sensational and a shocking read of probably one of the most famous cricketer of all time. Entry of Jemima Goldsmith and launching of his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Pakistan Movement for Justice). Third chapter is his account on his university-level and county cricket, beginning of international cricket career and his life in England.I would suggest to re produce this audio book with either Imran reading himself, or a Pakistani narrating this book some one like Zia Mohyeddin. For more details, please consult the latest information provided by Royal Mail's International Incident Bulletin. You can love it or hate it - certainly the author could not be accused of over-modesty - but it should make you think. It is accepted by you that Daunt Books has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance.
