Lord, reveal Yourself to all who are affected by this devastation. Show them Your Love, Hope, Redemption, and Salvation. You are their Helper. Although we would like to experience more spiritual fruit, we know only too well how often our lives fall short of resembling Christ's. Instead of being discouraged, however, we can see what God has promised us through Scripture. R) Let love be without hypocrisy. ( S)Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 ( T) Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, ( U)in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 ( V)rejoicing in hope, ( W)patient [ c] in tribulation, ( X)continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 ( Y)distributing to the needs of the saints, ( Z)given [ d] to hospitality.

Pray there is an opening for Aglow International to cultivate a presence in every nation that creates an atmosphere of celebration, impartation and restoration. In 2023 the conservative-leaning government is on course to bring needed reforms to the Supreme Court of Israel. However, there is great unrest through huge protests over these reforms. When Peter speaks in 1 Peter 1:8 of rejoicing with “unutterable and exalted joy” in anticipation of our final salvation, he is not describing a decision; he is describing an explosion. You can decide to brush your teeth, or get an allergy shot; but you cannot, in the same way, decide to rejoice. You can decide to do things that may bring you joy — drive to the country, visit a friend, read a psalm — but whether joy actually happens is not in your own power, the way many other acts are. It may or it may not be there. As we present ourselves before You, show us how to move with Your Spirit to rise to the fullness of all You want to do in us, for us, and through us.

If God has given you a promise, that promise will be fulfilled. Your part is to patiently wait, hope, endure, look for, be expectant, just wait. Because if He's promised, He will fulfill that promise in your life. In the meantime, He's working out many things in your life, and in the lives of those around you. He is at work, and He will glorify Himself in astounding ways by fulfilling exactly what He spoke to you, but in His timing. That's why you need to patiently endure. Be expectant. Know it's coming. Speak faith. Don't get agitated, just wait. He's on His way. Be industrious: Or “Be diligent.” The Greek spou·deʹ used here literally means “swiftness of movement or action; haste; speed.” ( Lu 1:39) However, in many contexts, it denotes an “earnest commitment in discharging an obligation; eagerness; earnestness; willingness; zeal.” This Greek word appears at Ro 12:8 in the expression “let him do it diligently.” It is rendered “industriousness” at Heb 6:11 and “earnest effort” at 2Pe 1:5. The related verb spou·daʹzo has been rendered “be . . . diligent” ( 2Pe 1:10) and “do your utmost” ( 2Ti 2:15; 4:9, 21; 2Pe 3:14). Why does this joy vanish so easily? Why is it superficial and flimsy? Evidently because it was not a joy in God but merely in some of the comforts that God might give. When the afflictions and the persecutions and the hard times come, and the comforts disappear, so does the joy. Because it was not the fruit of the Spirit; it was not the joy of Christ that delights in God no matter what the external circumstances are. Why? Because we ought to have it — God is infinitely worthy of our delight. And because the only thing standing between the command of God to rejoice and our experience of that joy is a sinful heart — a heart that delights more in the things of the world than in God. And if we try to excuse our disobedience by saying, “I can’t rejoice in God; I have a sinful heart,” our words will not excuse us; they will condemn us. I will pour out my Spirit upon all of you! Your sons and daughters will prophesy; your old men will dream dreams, and your young men see visions. And I will pour out my Spirit even on your slaves, men and women alike." The Bible describes the Christian's growth and development in much the same way as apples are grown and harvested. As believers, we are "planted" when we are born again into a relationship with Jesus. The Holy Spirit then lovingly nourishes and prunes us so that our lives "grow" the character traits of Christ. Scripture calls these traits the fruit of the Spirit and tells us that spiritual fruitfulness is the Lord's goal for all believers. Everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit, and He gave them the ability to speak in languages they didn't know.
