Being a new Christian, I wanted a Life Application Study Bible to help me understand the teachings in the Bible and how they relate to everyday life. The print is fairly small, but from personal experience, not unmanageable as it is larger than my soft backed version. In many study bibles, these links would be limited to no more than a book, chapter, and verse number and the discussion would be omitted. Had they said that "it is God who works in you, both to will and work for his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13), I would have agreed wholeheartedly. It contains notes, maps, important information about each particular book (such as the purpose, author, approximate date written, setting, etc.

I won't say any more about the extensive features of this Bible because I don't want to be a spoiler of a book which is one to be explored. contents, a list of the books of the Bible, an introduction to the NLT version, the names of those who helped translate this version, contributors, in-depth descriptions of the features of this version as well as the books of the Bible, of course! Its cover choices are very similar to the standard size: numerous colors of Leatherlike, two colors of genuine leather, and hardcover all with or without thumb indexing.
