With the empaths in my private practice, I always begin with teaching them how to avoid absorbing other people’s energy so they can feel stronger and more grounded within themselves. It equips the reader with the knowledge and skills necessary to detect emotional blackmail and to set effective limits against it.

We’re passionate, deep, and creative, in touch with our emotions, compassionate, and can see the big picture. It is not until you start working with them, in your daily lives, that you come to fully understand the true power of crystals.

Piecing together how the empath gift works, and how we can “reprogramme” it to take out the suffering, took me several years to put together. The upside of being and empath—and there are many-- is that empaths have depth, intuition, deep compassion, deep spirituality and are passionate lovers and mates.

Empaths are often unconsciously attracted to “unavailable people” who don’t let them come close enough to have all their fears of intimacy arise. Yet none of them proved truly eye-opening or life-changing for me, and neither did the suggested solutions for empath overwhelm truly work – they were bandaids at best.

Reading them sets the tone for how you face each day and outlines ways to attract positivity and deflect stress. Over the years, I read many books on the subject of the law of attraction (LOA), by all the greats: Louise Hay, Esther and Jerry Hicks, and Wayne Dyer, to name a few. Until you make changes to your diet, you will never understand how it affects you as a Sensitive Person. Further, we’re all in different places of discovery when it comes to our own inner workings, so we identify with it at varying times in our lives.

Individuals with these emotional sensitivities are known as an HSP (Highly Sensitive People/Person), which is not to be confused with an Empath.In this book, the author shows you how to discover these attachments, release the cords that bind you and strengthen the ones that heal you. My last reading slump was harsh since I tried to read Mona At Sea by Elizabeth Gonzalez James with Jeffers’ book.
