Experience the legendary ground battles of Star Wars! Command your forces as they clash in epic encounters with the STAR WARS: LEGION miniatures game. Each miniature is finely detalled to bring to life the heroes, villains, soldiers, and vehicles of the Star Wars galaxy. [4] Leading these untested clones into battle are none other than the Republic’s noble Jedi Knights. Once the guardians of peace and justice, the Jedi are now called into an all-out war for survival. Fighting side-by-side, Jedi and Clone Troopers are a formidable force. But the Separatists command innumerable battle droids, ready to crush all who stand in their way. Soon, you’ll be able to play out the battles of this pivotal period of the Star Wars saga with the Clone Wars Core Set for Star Wars™: Legion. Within this expansion, you’ll find everything you need to place Anakin Skywalker in command of your Galactic Republic armies, beginning with a beautifully detailed, unpainted hard plastic miniature featuring two distinct assembly options. First, you can assemble Anakin Skywalker with a powerful two-handed grip on his lightsaber. Alternatively, he can be built with one hand on his lightsaber in an open stance.

Those who choose to spread chaos, tyranny, and fear as the Separatist Alliance can wield a massive droid military. With an overwhelming number of B1 Battle Droids at your command, you can trample over any who stand in your path and—if B1 Battle Droids alone aren’t enough to secure victory—you can always send in a unit of Droidekas to provide the firepower necessary to decimate any opponents that remain standing. In addition to the miniature, you’ll find all of Anakin Skywalker’s abilities laid out on a unit card alongside his three signature command cards that allow him to leave his own mark on a battle. Powerful as he may be, Skywalker is more susceptible than most to the temptations of the dark side, and this weakness is represented by a new Flaw card that his opponents can exploit. Finally, rounding out this expansion are six upgrade cards ensuring Anakin Skywalker has the training and Force abilities to face any test. Legion in terms of the cost in time, effort and price is very different from what you previously know and love. The figures do require assembly, only gluing and positioning, but that does require some skill and patience—they're not pre-assembled, pre-painted, ready to go. It's very much a wargame in the hobby sense, and if this is your first wargame, you're going to have to spend some time putting the figures together and painting them if you want them to look great…” In the standard game mode, the game involves 2 players, alternatingly using squads of troops, characters, or vehicles to maneuver and battle on a 6 foot by 3 foot table. Each unit has an assigned point value, and within a general framework, players have the flexibility to field very different armies even at the 800 point standard level. Armies generally consist of 20-50 models, but can be higher or lower depending on unit choices. The models come unassembled and unpainted, which allows players to show off their hobby skills and build their own truly customized force. As the Separatist Alliance spreads itself across the galaxy, brave Clone Troopers and valiant Jedi are the only thing that stand between the relentless waves of Battle Droids and total galactic domination. Soon, you can build your armies and battle for the fate of the galaxy.

Phase II clone trooper armor reflected one of the Republic's greatest technological successes and included advanced tactical gear that further augmented the clone troopers' individual strengths. Additionally, the clones wearing this armor were themselves better trained and more experienced than those first deployed at the start of the war. The official field manual for the Imperial Military, the Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide, estimated that the total amount within a stormtrooper legion lay between 8,192 and 12,800 troops. [2] [3] In addition, although legion was the largest possible unit of the Stormtrooper Corps, various legions from other sectors have been known to join in a major offensive with other legions belonging to the Sector Group where the offensive took place. [4]

This is the first time I’ve ever set out to fully construct an entire core set, and while I struggled a bit at first with the droids, after putting a few together I felt like I really hit my groove. I no longer needed to look at the instructions, and I was able to use way less glue (and get way less glue on my clumsy hands). Painting the droids and clones was a delight, and it was fun to come up with ways to differentiate each unit. For my clones, I decided one should be pristine and shiny, and the other looking a little worse for wear, mud-stained and haggard. General Grievous leads an overwhelming number Separatist Battle Droids in Star Wars: Legion. Search Your Feelings It was I who allowed the Alliance to know the location of the shield generator. It is quite safe from your pitiful little band. An entire legion of my best troops awaits them." ―Emperor Palpatine, to Luke Skywalker [1]In addition to introducing the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance to the game as new factions, this Core Set contains all the cards, tools and tokens you need to begin staging your own Star Wars battles right away, making this the perfect starting point for building your Star Wars: Legion collection. Importantly, the Clone Wars Core Set is not a new edition of the game, and you don't need the original Core Set to start playing. The Clone Wars Core Set is fully compatible with all previous Star Wars: Legion products, inviting you to play out whatever battles you can imagine across the saga. Both Echo and Fives lend their specific skills to whatever unit they’re assigned, but these ARC Troopers also provide a more basic benefit. Their upgrade cards feature an additional wounds statistic that they use instead of the wounds statistic of the unit they’re equipped to, making them even tougher than the average clone trooper. When you send them on a mission, you can be sure they'll do everything they can to complete it. On the Front Lines The Republic Specialists Personnel Expansion puts four clone troopers with special training at your disposal, allowing you to field a generic commander unit and add personnel upgrades to other units in your army, including a clone commander unit leader, clone medic, clone engineer, and a clone comms technician. No matter which of these troops you choose, you can always make use of the Republic’s signature strategies with the three new command cards exclusive to the Galactic Republic faction found here.
