The 2023-2024 school year will be Mr. Reynolds' 32nd year as an educator and his 24th year at Madison High School. Although I don’t rate Hemingway much as a writer, though his influence on the course of English literature most certainly cannot be denied, his life story, and feuds and fantasies (look up The Crook Factory he ran) are something else and very entertaining. Though Reynolds always stressed the experimental nature of his homes, disillusioned buyers filed lawsuits and complaints over defects, such as leaky roofs and inadequate climate control. Spurred by the many claims against Reynolds, the State Architects Board of New Mexico stripped him of his credentials, saying his home designs were illegal and unsafe. [3] In 1990, Reynolds gave up his New Mexico architecture and construction licenses after a year-long dispute with several clients. [4] I have learned about Hemingway......I like him less. This is who he was. These are the things he did. These are the things he said. You can like an author's work but not the author himself! I am glad I know him better. With my increased awareness and dislike I remind myself that this book only covers four years of his entire life, but for now I have had enough of Hemingway!

Reynolds served on the editorial board of the Hemingway Review. He also helped establish the Hemingway Society, which presents the annual Ernest Hemingway Foundation Award for the best first work of fiction published in the U.S., and organized its biannual conferences for Hemingway scholars. The professor was particularly delighted with the 1996 conference in Sun Valley, Idaho, one of Hemingway's familiar stomping grounds, which was attended by five friends of the late author. During his time at Madison High School, the Band program has been a consistent UIL Sweepstakes Program. The writing style is similar to Hemingway's. Similar, but not the same and not as good. Short, abrupt sentences. Repetition of words, of phrases, for emphasis. In another section, Reynolds insists that Hadley had no other romantic interest except from Hemingway. This is false. She had admirers before and after meeting Hemingway. This biography also states, oddly, that Hemingway never slept with a woman he did not want to marry. Yet Reynolds implies Hemingway slept with Kate Smith and Marjorie Bump; ironically, other biographies show he did have an affair with Jane Mason, and perhaps others in Paris and the following years, but not many, and without any intention of marrying them, whilst it is only speculation that he had a romance with Kate, and there is no reason at all to think he had romantic relationships with Marjorie or any other Oak Park woman. The examples presented in the above few paragraphs are just a sampling of the book's sloppy research, poor editorial choices, and questionable analysis, and of course, to repeat, Reynolds prints his guesses and assumptions as facts. Reynolds served on the editorial board of the Hemingway Review. He also helped establish the Hemingway Society, which presents the annual Ernest Hemingway Foundation Award for the best first work of fiction published in the U.S., and organized its biannual conferences for Hemingway scholars. The professor was particularly delighted with the 1996 conference in Sun Valley, Idaho, one of Hemingway’s familiar stomping grounds, which was attended by five friends of the late author. He loved camping and spent some great times under canvas in Folkestone, France and Spain. He liked swimming and was a qualified PADI scuba diver. In Garbage Warrior, Reynolds describes one of his new homes, called the Phoenix: "There's nothing coming into this house, no power lines, no gas lines, no sewage lines coming out, no water lines coming in, no energy being used... We're sitting on 6,000 gallons of water, growing food, sewage internalized, 70 degrees [21°C] year-round... What these kind of houses are doing is taking every aspect of your life and putting it into your own hands... A family of four could totally survive here without having to go to the store." [6]

Mr. Reynolds is a member of Texas Music Educators Association, The Texas Bandmasters Association and the Investigation and treatment of a number of GI related conditions: GOR, dyspepsia, anaemia, bleeding, constipation, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) Michael E. Reynolds (born 1945) is an American architect based in New Mexico, known for the design and construction of " earthship" passive solar houses. He is a proponent of "radically sustainable living". He has been a critic of the profession of architecture for its adherence to conventional theory and practice, and he advocates the reuse of unconventional building materials from waste streams, such as automobile tires, and is known for designs that test the limits of building codes.Internationally respected, Reynolds was consulted in 1992 about 20 newly discovered newspaper stories allegedly written by Hemingway for the Toronto Star in the early 1920s. Some of the articles, which Reynolds and other scholars authenticated, were found in the Hemingway section of the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, the world’s leading center of Hemingway studies. Being a literary analysis of his writing and his steps toward recognition, the book details the ins and outs of his writing and publishing contracts. Perhaps the book is best for those readers who are themselves budding authors, who are looking for guidelines on writing techniques. It shows what Hemingway learned from others.
