The world of Toy Story is built upon the idea that everything in the world has a purpose,” says Cooley.

She has grown into an adventure-seeking free spirit whose strength and sarcasm belie her delicate porcelain exterior. Out of the three villains, however, Gabby Gabby possessed very little to no antagonistic traits towards Woody and his friends and her plans were succeeded with their help. She was voiced by Christina Hendricks, who also voiced Zarina in The Pirate Fairy and "Officer Jaffe" in Scoob! Conflicted, Gabby Gabby ends up deciding to try and comfort her, which the other toys help her with. Bo Peep and Giggle McDimples were looking for Billy, Goat and Gruff when they encounter Gabby and two of the Bensons who were blocking their way.Fans around the world thought the toys’ story had ended when Andy brought his long-loved pull-string cowboy Woody and the gang—Buzz, Jessie, Slinky, Rex and the rest—to live with Bonnie, a young friend of the family who—like Andy—has a huge imagination when it comes to her toys. While she and her subordinates did resort to drastic measures in her attempt at getting the voice box she desired, she ultimately never intended to hurt anyone, instead handling situations in a professional manner, in one scene chastising her personal aide for hastily shoving Woody and Forky in her stroller, and in a later scene calmly reasoning with Woody over her need for a child to play with her. However, Gabby Gabby merely had a defective voice box, unlike Stinky Pete, who wasn't sold due to the rising popularity of space toys (which he grew disdainful towards).

Like him, she temporarily joins the protagonists, however she doesn't backstab them: instead she chooses to leave them for another child. She also reveals that she knows (from her talks with Forky) Woody had spent most of his life with his former owner Andy and had many happy moments with him. After Woody’s friends leave him, he agrees to give his voice box to Gabby in exchange for Forky, much to the latter’s delight. The key difference is that Gabby Gabby and Stinky Pete weren't diabolical (though Stinky Pete did showed his true colors, especially from having wrongfully framed Jessie to nearly tearing Woody into pieces), while Lotso was much worse than the two.

Like Stinky Pete, Gabby Gabby was initially never owned by a child, waiting years before being owned. Even though she is initially scared that Bonnie will reject her as well, Bo Peep arrives at that time to encourage her to try because Gabby Gabby will not get anywhere if she just stays on a shelf like Bo did. She is an antique doll with a broken voice box, whose primary goal was to have it replaced by Woody's, so she could be loved by Harmony. Later reconstructing Forky, Gabby Gabby befriends Forky and quizzes him on everything he knows about Woody. The girl hugs Gabby Gabby and, feeling more confident, seeks the help of a policewoman and is brought to her parents, taking Gabby Gabby home with her.

However, Gabby Gabby was not as cruel like Lotso, and when she was rejected, she ultimately opted to move on to be played by someone other after being encouraged by her friends, while Lotso did not move on after finding that Daisy replaced him and turned on his friends despite their help. Gabby's personality is in marked contrast to the heartless sadism of Lotso and the embittered resentment by Stinky Pete in previous films. The lost girl is reunited with her parents by a security guard, and Gabby Gabby leaves with her new owner after silently thanking Woody and the gang, proudly falling asleep on the child’s shoulder as Bonnie and her family arrive back at the RV park.

A discouraged and heartbroken Gabby offers Woody to give his voice box back as she “doesn’t need it anymore”, but Woody insists she keep it. She is polite and well-spoken to visitors, even engaging in conversations with them, as shown when she discusses with Forky about Woody's past.
