This stuff is a compliment monster from the ladies, dont listen to the nay sayers. Its a classic and in the right environment its a head turner. I really love this scent. It’s very powerful, lasts long and projects strongly. I get compliments when I wear this. More women seem to like this than men, in my experience. I enjoy smelling it on my wrist during the day as the layers develop and there is always a nice smell from this. I like how it evolves. From the citrus blast in the opening then to vanilla and florals to honey and tobacco in the drydown all while still going strong can be addictive or off-putting. Despite its overwhelming synthetic nature, the fragrance's notes are easily noticeable. Unfortunately, they are shrouded in an artificiality that makes even its leather accord smell like plastic. This contributes to its aura of inexpensiveness, shattering any high expectations one might associate with the brand or the era it hails from. This is strong, 2 to 3 sprays should be more than enough, yes I get the cough syrup accord as people have referenced.

This marks my second review of the previously repulsive Joop! Homme. In my original review I talked about my disappointment that I wasnt completely in love with this fragrance, mostly due to a strange urine note I was detecting (fatal error on my part as I had a cold when I sampled it and so my nose wasnt working properly.) For ten years, I owned a home which shared a wall with my neighbour. During that decade, I would smell Joop! Homme and think, “Oh, Neville has come home. I need to see him about something”. The Joop! Homme Deodorant Spray 75ml boasts the same fresh and enticing scent as the eau de toilette spray and is designed to help keep the body both cool and dry throughout the day. Opening with top notes of mandarin, lemon bergamot, and orange blossom, this all rounded deodorant spray, with smooth base hues of vanilla, tonka bean, and sandalwood, is a definite everday essential for those looking to stand out.

As they were my 5th & 6th fragrance I have ever had, I expected far more would last me longer than a full day and fill a room. But they don't. That these would be more like the standard not the exception. But they are. I believe this is still the best fragrance to use while wearing a pink shirt. In Spring and cooler Summer. Not in the Tropics for sure. It might poise a beach. And for certain not on an airplane.

The projection is also excellent, not too strong, but it lingers around me throughout the day. Smells like Big Red Gum Flavored Embalming Fluid… but in a good way? Fascinating. Timeless. Terrible. Beautiful. Joop! Homme is a classic fragrance that's been around for years, and it's great for any time. The start is really fresh with orange blossom, mandarin orange, bergamot, and Amalfi lemon. It's a really good start that wakes you up.
