A very palatable late cut meadow grass, dried and chopped, with added herbs and a light coating of quality linseed oil. No fillers, binders, pelleting agents, preservatives or chemically synthesised micro-nutrients are included. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep sealed to remain airtight. Keep out of reach of children. If in eyes, rinse with water for several minutes and seek medical attention if necessary. I have completely overhauled both my horses diets last year and after LOTS of research I moved them onto thunderbrooks feeds and have been very pleased with them. At the moment they are both on token feeds for their supplements so I have just been feeding there herbal chaff to carry the powders. My mate stopped eating the herbal chaff first which wasnt a massive issue as she is very fussy but will eat her devils claw without the chaff to carry it. Now my non fussy gelding has stopped eating the chaff too ! He has quite a lot of supplements so I cut them all out today and he still wont eat it so therefore I've concluded its obviously the chaff 😓

Natural Vitamin A 15,000iu; natural Vitamin D 3,000iu; natural Vitamin E 500iu; Folic Acid 25mg; Nicotinic Acid 65mg; Pantothenic Acid 35mg; Riboflavin 52mg; Vitamin B12 0.74mg; Thiamine 60mg; Pyridoxine 85mg; Selenium (all chelated form) 0.75mg; Iodine 5mg; Zinc (all chelated form) 400mg; Copper (all chelated form) 100mg; Lysine 12.4g; Methionine 2g; Biotin 15mg; Calcium (carbonate and chelated form) 10g; Phosphorus 6g; Magnesium (carbonate and chelated form) 7.5g, Yeasacc 5g; Please note: Synergy was formerly called Base Mix. There was no change to the formulation when the name was changed**** I will always wonder if it hastened the death of the AC, however as he was already declining with FIP and would have been PTS if the MRI he was booked for strongly indicated it. I know they can go downhill very fast with FIP but a lot of symptoms of his last day tallied with the food related illness (he never made it to the scan). He may also have only been on Royal Canin gastrointestinal by that point as the FIP was causing him to have terrible diarrhoea. But then people were saying you weren't in the clear for about a month. So he could have been affected while still on the food. When it comes to selecting the perfect horse feed or supplement for your horse, it's essential to consider their individual needs. Factors such as age, activity level, and health condition should guide your decision. Thunderbrook offers a variety of feed options.I need to be able to get the supplements into him so I am looking at alternative chaff suggestions. After doing lots of research last year I have become really reluctant to feed lots of the 'popular brand' feeds before of the amount of rubbish they contain so I just dont know which way to turn really. It's got to be a low calorie chaff as gelding a fatty ! Healthy Herbal Chaff is a natural product. The British meadow grasses are cut from over 2000 acres and there will be variations in the analyses due to number of cuts per year, time of cut, weather, location of field, etc.

Healthy adult horses at maintenance on good forage, good doers or those which do not require weight gain.To make our Healthy Herbal Chaff, selected British meadow grasses are grown to a mature stage. The grass is cut only twice per year allowing it to become more stalky and hence more fiberous. No chemical fertilisers are used on the grassland. Composition: Dehydrated grass, linseed oil, chamomile flowers and leaves dried, lemon balm dried, mint leaves dried.

My previously ulcery TB who is also barefoot has been on it since my b/f trimmer recommended it...maybe 9 months...? He looks good on it despite the volume fed being a lot less than I was feeding him previously, and his feet are looking really good. He's on muesli & basemix, & the shetland is on a handful of meadow chaff, a handful of hay cobs & the daily essentials. With generous amounts of added prebiotics, probiotics, fruits, herbs and botanicals, providing functional foods to nutritionally support a healthy gut environment. When I was researching it I did price out the ingredients separately and it worked out cheaper buying the tb version. It depends if you want all the ingredients! If you are just looking for micronised linseed then yes a bag of that is cheaper. I can't feed beet products to my mare so people saying fast fibre instead is like comparing chalk and cheese.Thunderbrooks are not your average horse feed brand, and are the go-to choice for horse owners who prioritise their equine's health and well-being.
