It IS the Millennium Falcon, all the work that went into it....all the details, super fine details,....but the model was BIG & heavy and hard to get those agile & active shots. What are the best sources for articles and videos of other people's builds? Facebook group, there's quite a few some dedicated to the studio models which are great for reference and some to the model itself . lots of good ones with helpful hints and tips The kit offers a choice between plastic and etched pieces to create the mesh vent grills, allowing for a more in-depth recreation. LED Light-Up Features (LED Unit Included) You've probably been watching videos on YouTube, these are the most accessible and there's quite a few on there with some good tips.

Everything I've seen suggests that no-one paints this with brushes, it's all sprayed. Is this right? Use both, You can't replicate all the weathering with an airbrush. And everyone seems to assemble then spray (rather than spray parts before assembly). Is this right too? I'd assemble then spray/paint

Bandai have so far surprised us with superior engineered & detailed kits than even FineMolds have given us, with optional parts for building different versions....Imagine if a new 1/72 Falcon kit allowed us to decide on a 3 gear ANH Falcon / 5 Gear ESB, RoTJ & beyond version,....the option for circular or rectangle dish The next reason is that the chippings taken from the film and adopted by Bandai in the decals are way too coarse for this scale in my opinion. That fits more in 1:35. After priming and pre-shading, the first base coat is on. I chose Vallejo White Gray. Pure white would have been too cold for me.

Revell (Bandai original) 01211 Star Wars Millennium Falcon

He should fly through a halved tube. This is based on some film scenes, where he flies through the interior of the not yet finished Death Star, for example. I’m really looking forward to the project because I’m going to build a ship that doesn’t plow through water but through space. The cables will be extended here later and new small plugs will be soldered on, because I did not build the control unit and the loudspeaker into the model, but into the diorama.

What are the best 3rd party add-on's? Are they necessary? Shapeways, don't need too much though - Greeblies I would definitely recommend using an airbrush or spray cans for the paint job. You could do the smaller details with a brush but best to do the overall colour with an airbrush.
