Description

Second, the Combat Patrol versions of each faction’s datasheets army rules are different from their main Index. Datasheets are simpler, and armies have access to different Stratagems, and enhancements. A Dark Apostle leads the combat patrol while reciting passages from a book… that’s on fire. He’s flanked by two dark disciples who are excellent in close quarters combat. Five Havocs are ready to bring the pain with heavy weapons, including an intimidating chaingun. Ten Chaos Space Marines bring a good mix of mid to close range weapons and the patrol is finished with heavy support in the form of a Helbrute that can dish out and take punishment as needed. We got so excited about Combat Patrol that we couldn’t help but come up with a few army lists, all coming in at around a Power Level of 25. We’re starting with a couple that you can make with the models in the new Indomitus boxed set . Indomitus Necrons It looks like there may be some value in the new Chaos Space Marines Combat Patrol; here is our price breakdown and review of the box.

Setting the whole galaxy ablaze is even easier with a unit of power-mad Havocs. With a wide range of weapons, you can kit them out to mow down hordes of infantry or obliterate your enemy’s heavy support. Usually, GW has waited until the codex has actually been released to reveal what the Combat Patrol will be. We’re often left guessing whether or not the picture in the codex is the actual box, but this time, we didn’t have to wait! Bolster your forces – be they Traitor or Loyalist – with this set of two Adeptus Astartes HQ options. Originally available in the Space Marine Heroes set, these two plastic miniatures can lead your forces in both the martial and spiritual arenas. The Praetor is clad in Cataphractii Terminator armour, wielding a chainfist and a combi-melta, while the Chaplain is in artificer armour with a plasma pistol and Crozius Arcanum. You also get a set of Horus Heresy transfers. Dice: Sons of Horus and Imperial FistsPrepare to unleash a crimson tide of annihilation in the name of the Ruinous Powers with Combat Patrol: Chaos Space Marines! This meticulously curated boxed set equips you with all the essential units required to commence your collection or reinforce an existing army. The Outriders give you speed, and the Bladeguard Veterans give you a real punch in combat. Support their assault by charging your Assault Intercessors at the same time, and give everything buffs from the aura abilities of your Primaris Lieutenant and Bladeguard Ancient.

They operate as an ‘elite’ army in Warhammer 40k, meaning they tend to field fewer miniatures than their opponents for the same budget of points, but each model can hope to deal out more punishment to the enemy before it gets blown away.No self-respecting Chaos Space Marines force is complete without at least one squad of Legionaries. These are the dark mirrors of loyalist Tactical Squads, with access to a variety of wargear and a host of unique weapons that make them more flexible – and violent – than uniform Intercessor Squads.* Doom has come upon the Thousand Sons. Born from the Rubric, a curse of fire and dust stalks them across time and space. The spirits of the Rubricae are vanishing from the prisons of their armour in the fourth novel in John French’s Ahriman series. We’ve added some Kataphron Destroyers to the Start Collecting! Adeptus Mechanicus box, adding a choice of serious firepower to supplement the Skitarii Rangers’ galvanic rifles. Able to shoot their heavy weapons on the move without penalty, the Kataphrons can bombard the enemy with fire while the Skitarii advance in their Skorpius Dunerider to capture objectives.

Or do you just run headlong at the ones in no man’s land and have a massive dust-up? We know what the Orks would do. Experience the tumultuous saga of the Chaos Space Marines as they embark on a relentless ten-thousand-year war against the galaxy that once embraced them. Brave, honest and true, they only very occasionally indulge in macabre vampiric rituals with goblets of suspiciously viscous red ‘wine’– and it really is only once in a blue moon that one of them slips into an insane, suicidal killing frenzy fuelled by the overwhelming psychic grief imprinted in his DNA.The new Codex: Chaos Space Marines is bursting with evil , covering all the rules you need to let the galaxy burn. Included are eight subfactions, plus datasheets for 44 units, as well as Relics, Stratagems, Crusade rules, prayers, psychic powers, Marks of Chaos, and other vile articles of blasphemy.

Ah, the Blood Angels– noble and civilised sons of Sanguinius, most handsome, tragic, star-crossed and pretty of all the Emperor’s ‘Primarch’ sons. These renaissance Italy-themed space marines are among the most storied and popular chapters of the Adeptus Astartes. The third book in John French’s investigation of one of the most compelling followers of Chaos arrives as an MP3 audiobook. Chaos Space Marines eShorts But really, you’re looking at adding another Troop, Elite, Heavy Support, and an HQ option. Another Squad of Chaos Marines starts at 180 points for 10. And having more of them is always useful. Expand the command options available to your Loyalist or Traitor Legions with a plastic Legion Cataphractii Praetor and Chaplain Consul. Give your Legion a nigh-indestructible leader with a Praetor clad in Cataphractii Terminator armour, and support your battle brothers with fervent chants courtesy of the Chaplain – a specialist Legion Consul concerned with morale, conviction, and bashing in heads. Geigor Fell-Hand On paper I think this army could surprise people just because it’s not a build you’d expect to see. Vanguard Space Marine forces aren’t exactly tearing-up the meta though…so this is more of a fun challenge project than the next big GT winner. You have been warned. For ten thousand years, the Chaos Space Marines have waged near-constant war on the galaxy that cast them out. Once the defenders of humanity, the Heretic Astartes have pledged themselves to the Dark Gods. Led by maniacal leaders such as the fanatical Dark Apostle, bitter warbands of Chaos Space Marines roam the battlefield, armed with an array of vicious weapons. Barricades and defenders alike are torn asunder by the devastating heavy armaments wielded by Havocs – and the frenzied swipes of a lumbering Helbrute. We’ll have more Chaos Space Marine news as soon as we reattune our communication array to the Eye of Terror without shorting the circuits.** Until then, sign up for the Warhammer Community newsletter to get all the latest news and reveals delivered straight to your inbox. As for our new Chaos Players, I’d say a Repeat is warranted. Two boxes would be plenty here. If it wasn’t a Dark Apostle, I might have even said go for 3. But you’re probably going to have a hard time fitting two in your lists (unless you’re planning on playing Word Bearers). They (Dark Apostles) aren’t bad and it sounds like their Priestly powers might be getting some love in the next book. But two is probably plenty for a collection. Next Steps? If you prefer to be a little bit naughty, then how about the Sons of Horus Legion dice? Throw in your lot with the Warmaster, and grab this set which comes with 19 regular D6s and one Scatter dice. Matching the armour of the Legion, these dice come in a rich marbled green, with gold pips, and the Eye of Horus on the 6 face, so Horus can see the result of every roll.
