Note: By being in DEMO mode and reactivating the flashlight within 3 seconds after turning it off, you will have temporary access to DAILY mode until you turn off the flashlight again. The tiny NITECORE TINI 2 (pronounced tee-knee) has two OSRAM-branded LEDs that go all the way up to 500 lumens—TURBO mode, as NITECORE calls it. It’ll drain the 280 mAh battery in less than an hour, but the point stands: it’s more than powerful enough for casual use. It’s not just raw brightness, either. NITECORE baked in some useful modes that maximize battery life, though it takes some memorizing to get the button combinations right. Don’t worry, though, because it has a built-in OLED display to clue you in on what’s going on. Under the OLED display there are the two electronic switches with which we will manage the TINI2. The two switches are not protruding, but are placed in a recess I think for greater protection against accidental activations. No problem finding the two switches in the dark. As can be seen from the symbols above these, one has an ON / OFF function (Power Switch) and with the other we will vary the 4 levels available beyond the momentary Turbo (Mode Switch). Despite being in a side-by-side configuration, the beam doesn’t appear to be elongated or stretched at all. Unless I turn the light on right against a wall, the hotspot is very circular, but looking at the TIR I can’t see any evidence of them being angled towards each other. Impressive! I'm glad I did! The LED screen is great and the various modes go all the way from nightlight mode to a pretty respectable 500 lumen bright light. The built-in timer functionality is really great as well.

The 1 lumen setting is perfect enough for your to see around your area without anyone noticing a light coming from your bed. Most of all, it lasts practically forever. I would okay even with leaving it on overnight. Best of all, the TINI was designed in way that it can stand on its own. The Nitecore TINI 2 can stand on its own. Nitecore have this pegged as a keychain light, and it definitely fits the bill for that – unless your keyring only has one or two keys on it, the extra weight this adds is fairly negligible. There are no external batteries required, and it's the brightest small flashlight we have, hands down. The 1 lumen Ultralow and 15 lumen Low modes are enough to move around in the dark without waking everyone else up.As for the TINI 2’s components, it contains a typical lithium-ion battery rated at 280 mAh. Meanwhile, the dual LEDs installed are P8 LEDs from OSRAM, one of the most reputable brands when it comes to anything that lights up. We’re always happy to see when brands source quality components from reputable manufacturers, whether it’s zippers, fabrics—or in this case—LEDs because of the peace of mind it gives. When charging is in use, the blue key indicator may flash slowly to notify you and the display will show the current battery level. At the end of recharging, the blue light stays on constantly and the display will indicate full charge. When in daily mode the light will stay on until you press the power button to turn the light off. To switch between daily and demo mode, simply hold both the power and mode buttons down at the same time until the light flashes once to indicate demo mode or twice to indicate daily mode and the screen will also display the selected mode. Although it is unlikely for you to have to do this, but the flashlight can be used while charging for the worst case scenario. Conclusion

Nitecore TINI 2 Review (Dual LEDs) – The Lite Review Nitecore TINI 2 Review (Dual LEDs) – The Lite Review

In conclusion, a light and complete product perfect for many uses and activities (household, reading, camping etc). This also helps with this review, which I can tell you how much real world battery time to expect on a full charge; In our testing the USABLE throw (range) for Turbo is about 100ft (33m). The manual says 89m or 291ft on Turbo. We disagree with the vendor on the throw for all the modes. Our opinion is the throw numbers are about 2 to 2.5x what we felt was usable.
