The highlight song of their set was ‘Good For A Girl’ which justifiably talks about how they have been underestimated in the music scene because of their gender. They seemed to win over a good portion of the crowd and they were rewarded with a bit of sun from whoever is in charge of the weather. It wasn’t quite the end to my night along with many others though, as we soon noticed that the Park & Ride scheme wasn’t really paying off for us. Upon exiting the festival, we noticed that there were no buses waiting for us. We were waiting for over thirty minutes and people’s tempers were getting frayed. One lady I was talking to, gave me my favourite quote of the night. She said, “I’d been waiting for the bus so long that I was expecting Nile Rodgers to walk onto the stage!” (he’s playing this coming Sunday). All was good in the end though, as two buses turned up at once ( “What’s new pussycat?”). We all let up a loud cheer and headed homeward after enjoying a top quality performance from the one and only Tom Jones. Long may he continue… Tom Jones at Stanmer Park, Brighton 5.7.23 (pic Michael Hundertmark) SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Tom Park stands in a lot full of Hyundais wearing a crisp white shirt and blue, tie taping commercials for Syracuse ("Great selection, great savings!"), for Schenectady, N.Y. ("What a great time to save!"), for Albuquerque, N.M. ("There's no comparison!") and for Columbia, S.C. ("Give us a call!"). Speaking of novice chasers, they don't really get more exciting than Bob Olinger and Appreciate It . Both were miles better than their novice hurdle rivals last term and I see no reason why they won't be as dominant as novice chasers. Tom will be returning to Sandown Park where he’ll be performing hits from his huge repertoire, spanning genres and generations including ‘Kiss’, ‘Delilah’ and ‘It’s Not Unusual’.

I drove to the Brighton Racecourse to take part in the event’s ‘Park & Ride’ scheme and no sooner had I parked my car, I hopped straight onto a waiting bus full of expectant Tom Jones fans. Twenty minutes later, and we were at the venue gates ready to embark and enjoy the night ahead of us. The sky was starting to look a bit moody, but I knew I could leave my hat on (and rain mac) and still enjoy what the night had to offer. In my resume I put 50,000, but I know it's over 100,000," he said. "Nobody ever believes it, so I don't put it in there."

THE SURREY HILLS AONB NOW OFFICIALLY A NATIONAL LANDSCAPE

They have been over to these shores in recent times, when they were supporting ‘Little Mix’ on tour and they have played with a number of household names including opening up for Phil Collins. Their music I would describe as chirpy indie pop and ‘Haim’ comparisons didn’t go unnoticed by yours truly. Germein at Stanmer Park, Brighton 5.7.23 (pic Michael Hundertmark) A Plus Tard was a real points earner in this competition last year and is one of a trio of Cheveley Park-owned stayers in my squad. He is sure to run his race again if getting to the Cheltenham Gold Cup and will have plenty of opportunity for bonus points in the build-up to the festival with the Betfair Chase, Savills Chase and Irish Gold Cup likely to be on his radar. It's worth remembering he's only a seven-year-old and could have some improvement in him. That is not to say Shishkin will have it all his own way this season. Chacun Pour Soi 's Punchestown performance under a positive ride was monstrous and he has set the bar mighty high for the two star novices.

The commercials will start airing three days later. And Park moves on to other cities, pitching for Fuccillo Subaru in Las Vegas and other dealerships, talking into other cameras and selling other cars with that chipper signature line:

It is the most recent high point in a career full of highlights, including a deeply cherished knighthood from Her Majesty the Queen in 2006. Other highlights of his long career include receiving multiple BRIT Awards, a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement, the Hitmaker Award from the [US] Songwriters Hall of Fame, GQ Man Of The Year, and the prestigious [UK] Music Industry Trusts Award. Probably half the people watching think that he's the dealer. Very effective," said Harvill, whose Birmingham, Ala.-based business works with 55 individual dealers. Tom Jones played a slow song next, in the form of ‘I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall’ which didn’t leave a dry eye in the house/field. He followed this with the mighty ‘Delilah’ which got everyone singing along as the undergarments from earlier in the night, went sailing through the air, stage bound. Tom soon followed up this moment with a ‘Full Monty’ moment (musically) with the classic ‘You Can Leave Your Hat On’ and I imagine, some of the audience were wishing that they’d kept hold of their underwear projectiles for this tune. He then dedicated the last song of his set to the late genius that is ‘Prince’ which could only mean one thing….his version of ‘Kiss’ (which he originally performed with ‘Art Of Noise’ in 1988). It was a fun version which went down really well with yours truly and the rest of the festival partygoers. Tom Jones at Stanmer Park, Brighton 5.7.23 (pic Michael Hundertmark)

Let's start with the no-brainers. and were the stars of last season. Neither has been beaten when putting in a clear round and they are the must-haves in any squad. He gave me a salary, a car and health insurance," Park said, "and I thought I had died and went to heaven." My approach has always been that I didn't want to announce to people. I would rather talk to them. That's why I don't like to use a script," Park said. "When it's spontaneous, I think it's a little more sincere and hopefully a little more believable." Since revealing the exciting news, fans left comments on his post with one writing: 'yesssd we need to go xx' (sic), another wrote: 'he’s amazing in concert :)💕🙂'. Along with sustaining his popularity as a live performer and recording artist for more than six decades, he continues to garner critical acclaim, including with the release of his most recent album, ‘Surrounded By Time’. The album made him the oldest male to claim a number 1 spot on the UK Official Album Chart with an album of new material, overtaking Bob Dylan.Park played lead guitar in a band called Talewind in the early '80s. His wife sang. It was fun, but not steady enough for a young couple planning a family. A talent agent helped him land a job in 1981 doing ads for a Dallas Datsun dealership run by Carl Westcott.
