Take a moment to consider how nice the sky looks outside. Seriously, just look for a second, empty your mind of your thoughts and take it all it with a few deep breaths. You’ll feel awesome. STEP ONE: OBTAIN BASE, SENSE OF ALL KNOWING CALM THANKS TO THOSE SWEET DEEP BREATHS

The neat part about sanded tile grout is that it dries fast. In less than an hour, sanded tile grout can take primer and paint. The most popular Citadel Technical Paints are their texture paints, which are used for basing your miniatures or adding special effects to them. These paints can be mixed with regular paint to create interesting textures such as mud, sand, stone, or even snow. Good job. We are already succeeding. This is going to be great, I can tell. STEP TWO: APPLY SPAK WITH RIGHTEOUS FORCE In addition, I thought the surface of the dried Mordant Earth was just too smooth and shiny for what I had in mind. It was far more pāhoehoe than ʻaʻā. It looked frankly like a hard chocolate coating which just made me need to get some ice cream while I pondered what I was going to do next. What Went Wrong, and How to Do It BetterThe spak provides the body to our base, allowing the texture paint, ink and dry brushing to do more effective work.

It’s round two for Beige Brown. Go for a less extreme dry brush this time, leaving plenty of the inky goodness coming though.

But when I applied this approach with Mordant Earth I found the PVA itself and the layer of paint under it also pulled apart leaving the primed base or maybe the milky PVA underneath exposed. But, there are three good reason for why Citadel textured products are popular and worth the investment. Simplicity, efficiency, and reliability.

Note here, that the brand alternative are from the Vallejo Texture Gel range which also offers an array of textured mediums to add context and thematic interest to your miniatures and models. Take a closer look at Vallejo, if you’re looking to expand beyond Games Workshop offerings. Are Citadel Technical Paints Expensive?Yeah I saw a video with this as well. Did you also use the Viva Decor basing fluid or whatever its called. Some people are saying it flakes off and needs something to grasp(hence the wood filler or basing fluid). I threw the last one in there because I thought I should try the old school approach rather than all these fancy technical paints, just to be sure. Agrellan Earth paint from Citadel Colour is a versatile, earthy brown color that provides a sturdy foundation for miniature painting projects. Its matt finish creates a natural, grounded look that complements a wide range of other hues. The high-quality pigments in this acrylic paint provide excellent coverage, making it an ideal choice for beginners or anyone looking for an easy-to-use base coat for their miniatures. Whether you’re working on infantry, tanks, or machinery, Agrellan Earth is a versatile color that can form the cornerstone of many unique and memorable colour palettes.
