To exit the emulator, hit the Start button then select exit in the menu for most paks or hit Select+Start. It has a primary SD card slot for the Linux firmware, as well as the possibility of primary storage. If however, you’d like to have the latest and greatest updates available for your emulators and want an improved experience then you should consider installing a CFW.

Keep in mind that the RG353 is capable of reliably emulating up to PS1 with a lot of the N64 catalogue also being playable. Meanwhile, the Android side presents you a less curated experience, but one that gives you more freedom to make it your own.I've been having a great time adding games from my steam backlog and playing them comfortably wherever I may be. Many Dreamcast games worked okay on the Linux side, but not so good through the Android operating system, so this will require some tinkering within the settings. Powering the device is a 3200 mAh battery, which Anbernic has stated will last up to 6 hours of usage. Very happy with this device and hats off to Anbernic for creating another top notch product 👍 thank you.

For PSP emulation, I got Tekken 6 and GTA Vice City Stories running at 60fps and 30 fps respectively. From what I can tell, it’s targeting those that enjoy ANBERNIC products, and those that fell in love with the RG351V but want something a little more compact with extra modern tech like the touchscreen, extra analogue stick and a cleaner OS choice in a vertical form. I like that they made it pocket friendly, and I appreciate ANBERNIC taking some time to tweak both operating systems alongside a semi-decent chip for retro gaming. Before we wrap up with the front, it’s worth mentioning quickly that the start and select are well-placed and have the same comfortable feel as the face buttons.

Between these you have your function button, start/select and your speaker grill which is perfectly located in my opinion, and never gets covered by my fingers. You should see that it’s enabled the Wifi SSID field which can be selected to find all of the local Wifi networks in reach.

This OS originally started as a compiled distribution of the JELOS firmware after the JELOS team stopped providing compiled images.I am not a fan of the Android side of the OS, it takes a lot of setting up and I am still not quite sure why Anbernic left it half finished. If a preformatted micro sd card has been found, it will be mounted and the system will setup the appropriate roms folders on it if they don't exist already. Put your bluetooth controller into pairing mode and select Connect to new Bluetooth device and add your bluetooth device.

The differences between the 2 are quite obvious: the rg353vs is an elite edition of the RG353V, that is to say, it does not have Android, and Touchscreen and wireless projection are not supported. Android experience feels unpolished and lacking in robust features, and does not perform as well as the Linux OS in many cases. Brandon is the founder of RetroDodo and created a YouTube channel with 240,000 subscribers dedicated to retro gaming products. Anbernic has released a new frontend for their Android operating system, which will work on the RG353P and the upcoming RG353V.It’s a flawed device, as many of these handhelds are, but many of those flaws inherently stem from the ambitious nature of the 353V. This is their third handheld to sport the RK3566 SOC, and it seems to be that the third time really is the charm as this is certainly the most charming of the trio.
