Take your time and give it thought. No matter how things go, I hope to see you on the bridge – and remember to ready that Salvo token. Again Anakin aside, what is the general consensus around the rest of the Rapid Reinforcements content? It's the players job to issue the tactical commands that will decide the course of battle and, perhaps, the fate of the galaxy. On January 3, 2020 FFG published an errata for Admiral Raddus commander upgrade card and the Onager booklet, that allows Evade tokens to cancel 2 dice at extreme range. Armada is a game of capital ship warfare. Fleets require at least one non-Flotilla ship, usually more. Start there. Follow that with a complement of squadrons to round out your budding fleet. Lastly, you’ll need to procure some basic gameplay tools. The good news is that there are starter offerings for both eras, depending on how you (and even a friend) would like to begin. These are the Star Wars: Armada Core Set, or the Fleet Starters. All of these boxes hit each of the categories we need to play Armada: ships, squadrons, and tools. Star Wars: Armada Core Set

Fittingly, the Empire plays as a cold and implacable foe. Their ships are less manoeuvrable than many of their contemporaries, and are characterised by high hull values (HP), mediocre shields and a strong emphasis on frontal firepower. Their standard squadrons are cheap and numerous, but specialised and vulnerable. The Imperial roster is supported by a strong officer corps, lethal aces and a few standout specialist ships. On August 25, 2017 Wave 7 was announced. The Chimaera Expansion added new ship cards for the Imperial-class Star Destroyer and contained for the first time additional squadron models: 2 Mandalorian Gauntlet Fighters. The rebel side gained the MC75 Cruiser. Three pre-painted ship miniatures (Victory-class Star Destroyer, Nebulon-B frigate, CR90 Corellian corvette) The Rebel Alliance is a foil to the Empire. They are generally agile and well-shielded, but suffer from low ship HP. Their tendency is toward a mix of broadside and frontal power, with most ships favouring one or the other. Their squadrons are expensive, but multi-purpose and the Alliance is supported by outstanding characters and aces who excel at supporting each other.

Rebel and Imperial fleets fight for the fate of the galaxy in Star Wars Armada, the two-player miniatures game of epic Star Wars space battles!

On January 25, 2021 FFG announced the first wave (wave 10) with additional expansions for the Clone Wars introducing the Pelta-class Frigate and Venator-class Star Destroyer for the Galactic Republic together with the Recusant-class Destroyer and the Providence-class Dreadnought for the Separatists. The new expansions are scheduled for April 16. This Wiki is dedicated to the tabletop miniatures game Star Wars: Armada developed by Fantasy Flight Games. In 2021 the game did change to the hands of Atomic Mass Games studio. Unfortunately AMG announced that there will be no new products for the game in the near future. All products are still available and there still is rules support and will be official tournaments. Inferno Squad’s leader is one of my favourite characters in the setting, and her role in Armada reflects her place in special operations. People mostly take her for the first part of her ability, which allows her (normally small) ship to be far more survivable in close-quarters. She can also be shot onto enemy ships to cause trouble, but that’s secondary. She is standard-issue on Raiders and Gladiators, and is notably the first officer I’ve mentioned who has an ability that activates repeatedly. She gains value from regular use, and is unlikely to be asphyxiated by Vader. Good on you, Iden.Task Force: 200pt fleets, 3' x 3' play area, following fleet building rules, with recommended objective exclusions.

On March 28, 2019 a new Campaign Expansion was announced: Rebellion in the Rim for Q3 2019. It will contain new aces for Rogues and Villains Expansion, new Objectives (12 for standard games), and 28 upgrade cards! In Star Wars Armada, players can command either Imperial fleet, or play as an admiral in the Rebel Alliance. Massive Star Destroyers fly to battle against Rebel corvettes and frigates. I took over in 2016 and made more than 11.450 edits until 2021. Star Wars: Armada is a great game. It always had a slow release schedule. That was great. After the release of the first wave for the Clone Wars AMG took over and stopped working at the game.

Play cautiously and cover those flanks. Imperial warships are vulnerable to being flanked, owing to weak shields and clumsy side batteries. They are strong when directed onto the focal point of a battle, but embarrassing when outfoxed by a smaller opponent. On April 13, 2019 at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago FFG announced the arrival of Clone Wars aera ships for Armada. They confirmed that the Republic and the Separatists will come as separate factions to the game. The release is awaited for the end of 2020. Within this expansion, you’ll find everything you need to add a Recusant-class Destroyer to your fleets, beginning with a beautifully detailed, pre-painted miniature. Two ship cards bring this miniature to life on your tabletop as either a Light Destroyer or a Support Destroyer, each featuring their own unique armament and upgrade bar. On April 26, 2017 FAQ 3.1.1 changes the armament for the " Armed Station". It also changes the wording for the Objective Cards " Hyperlane Raid" and " Nebula Outskirts". Beyond the ship cards themselves, 14 upgrade cards invite you to make your Recusant-class Destroyer even more specialized with additional weapons, titles, and officers such as the Commerce Guild’sOn December 2, 2020 FFG released the new Rules Reference Guide with several changes to rules, called Armada 1.5 together with several errata to upgrade cards. As a living document updates will replace the former FAQ documents. Separatist fleets sweep across the galaxy like an unstoppable machine, brushing aside any resistance. The only thing standing between them and total galactic domination is the Republic Navy. To defeat this foe, Separatist leaders add to their arsenal with new technological monstrosities that will ensure victory in the Clone Wars. Are you fond of Star Wars? Does the thought of commanding capital ships and their supporting squadrons appeal to you? Do you have an officer’s outlook and think that tromping around in the mud is beneath you? If you answered yes to two of those questions, then Star Wars: Armada might be your thing.
