Description

The Hi-Gear Horizon 700 Air Nightfall Tent is a huge 4-room construction plus a large and fully protected porch, with dark rest bedrooms, and solid tinted windows. Pitching time is quoted as 25 minutes, but we recon after you’ve got to grips with it you will have this tent inflated and pegged out faster. NOTE – The first time you pitch it you will need to install the bedroom, so allow for this at your first camp. After that, you can just leave it in place like with other tents. This tent also comes with a repair kit as well as a spare beam tube too and an air pump for inflating. The colour coded pegging system is very handy, meaning the right pegs go in the right place to do the right job.

I love tents and writing about them is my great pleasure. I hope you can feel this when you read my texts. There are currently no images uploaded by members for this Tent. If you have a photo, be the first to upload one.

There are power/electricity access points on both sides of this tent. This is handy as many other tents only have them on one side, and this can mean having to run cables all around the outside of the tent or even having to pitch in different places so you can reach the electric supply. Delivered Monday to Saturday 8am-8pm, excluding bank holidays. Once despatched you will receive updates from the courier. The flysheet on this tent lets in plenty of light, making this a very nice and airy feeling living space. The side door is a nice large size, giving easy access and letting in plenty of fresh air. It is fitted with a mesh panel for keeping the creepy crawlies on the outside. It’s got a decent rain canopy too should the good old British weather decide to do what it does best. This is a big tent, but one person can easily set it up in 20-30 minutes or so. The official pitching time is 30 minutes. The nightfall bedrooms are of a good size and have plenty of vents you can open or close the are easy to fit we left them in and connected when we put the tent away remembering to leave all the doors open to let the air out .

Price – as you’d expect the price of a product can be an instantly recognisable factor on what sort of quality you can expect. Whoever came up with the phrase “you get what you pay for” pretty much hit the nail on the head. Whilst it’s not always the case and there are many bargains to be had, you can as a general rule, expect the higher priced products to offer better quality than a the cheapest option. We’ll dive into the price of Hi-Gear Horizon 700 Air Nightfall Tent in more detail in a moment.Fully Fire Retardant – Flysheet, Bedrooms, Mesh and Groundsheet ALL now fully fire retardant to British Standards. There are three of them, adjustable and they sit at roof level between the beams of each area of the tent. Above the bedroom pod, in the living area and in the porch. They are very easy to adjust and fit, that is unless you are challenged in the height department. Don’t worry about this though as you only really need to fit them if it does get breezy as the ample guy lines and storm straps around the tent will do the business for most of the time. You have two external doors, one is on the side, visible in the picture above, and as you see it has a small awning so this is a dry entry point. The door is double-layer with mesh for ventilation and a solid panel. The second (main) door is under the porch, it is incredibly wide and fully protected so this is yet another dry entry, and it is also equipped with a mesh. Materials Premium Oxford 5000HH Flysheet – Resilient embossed Oxford fly with a more than adequate Hydrostatic Head.

The front porch area is provided with a separate groundsheet. This is handy as it gives you the option of whether you want it in place or not. Some like to feel the cool grass under their feet whilst in a sheltered area, and many campers also like to have no ground covering in areas where they are cooking/preparing food. Also, with the front door wide open, having no ground covering in the porch gives the feeling of bringing the outside indoors. From our experience, darkened bedrooms are always cooler, meaning you should be more comfortable on hotter nights. The centre divider can be removed to create a single large bedroom and if you are worried about feeling closed in a claustrophobic, there are large mesh covered zipped panels front and rear that can be opened up to let both light and fresh air in – the best of both worlds.

There are however some methods that you can use to determine a product’s quality without needing to physically have it. Another factor that can be a great indication of product quality is the brand. Brands like Hi-Gear are of course extremely well known, especially for Weekend Tents. The single bag it comes in included the manual air pump all pegs as I've already said its big and the bag fills the boot of my ford Kuga. When buying Weekend Tents, the quality of the product is going to be one of the factors that you really scrutinise before you commit to buying. The picture also shows numerous storage pouches on the wall of the inner tent. There are three inner doors that are equipped with mesh sections for ventilation. The downside to buying online is that you can’t actually get hold of the product to try it out first.
