If your iPod still won't respond, it might have low battery. Charge your iPod for at least 30 minutes: It's about 2 years old and had presented a few problems with sincying in the past, but I hadn't tried to sync it for a while. Video capacity is based on H.264 1.5-Mbps video at 640-by-480 resolution combined with 128-Kbps audio; actual capacity varies by content. We use high quality OEM hard drives (Toshiba, Samsung, Hitachi), the exact same models used by Apple in your iPod currently. All drives are fully tested for errors before and after installation. Depending on your model we may even be able to increase the capacity if required. Use this ultracompact USB-based adapter to charge your iPhone or iPod whenever it’s not connected to a computer.

Press and hold the Menu button and Center (or Select) button for 8 seconds, or until you see the Apple logo. It doesn’t matter which iPod you have, we can replace your broken hard drive on all models of the iPod Classic including the 6th and 7th generation (A1238 160GB, 120GB, 80GB), 5th generation Video (A1136 30GB, 60GB, 80GB) or even earlier models! Connected it to my Windows, wich has the 10.4 version of iTunes. Restored (Windows format) it and disconnected. iPod touch (2nd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch display and 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB flash drive.

Engineered for extreme clarity and audio accuracy, these headphones let you hear musical details you’ve been missing. The last three characters of the serial number will be one of these: 1ZH, 1ZK, 1ZM, 1ZP or 1ZR. iPod shuffle I've already transfered one album and it synced just fine. (One of the problems I was having is that the music transfer was really slow). The best solution right now is SD cards. They offer good value for money, especially with higher capacity sizes, and read speeds compared to traditional mechanical drives. They don’t produce heat and they will not drain your iPod battery. How big can you go?That’s where lossless compression comes in. Lossless formats such as Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC) and Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) are still larger than MP3 and AAC formats but they tilt the quality/size balance in favour of sound quality. In lossless compression, the codecs use algorithms that shrink the file size but allow the original to be reconstructed exactly. You end up with no quality loss and lossless files are 40% to 60% the size of uncompressed CD files (still a fair bit larger than lossy MP3 or AAC files, though). SSD upgrade options SD (Secure Digital) cards– The best solution by far as higher capacity SD cards are now becoming cheaper. Supports 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB. So, I tried to restore it, both in Windows and Mac PCs, but the problem persisted. A hard reset didn't solve it either. The iPod in question was a 5.5th generation model, prized for being the last to feature the Wolfson DAC with its good audio quality. [Ellie] used the ever-helpful iFixit guide to learn how to disassemble the device safely. Careful hands and a spudger are key to avoid marring the pressed-together metal case.
