Keep in mind that SlumberPod takes more space than the crib in a hotel room, so you need to have space for it – rooms must be big. While it will work great for villas, suites and big rooms around the US, most hotel rooms in Europe are pretty small – even a crib is a tight fit in many places. That said, I don’t see SlumberPod fitting in various hotels. Most parents are concerned whether a sleeping pod is a good idea for babies or not since pods can make the baby sweat. However, SlumberPod comes with specialized breathable pods. The breathable surface of the sleeping pod makes air to circulate within the sleeping pod. Therefore, you will no longer need to worry about the baby’s sleep being disturbed due to warmer surroundings. Have a great idea, skill, or like to think outside the box ? Then let's talk. For example we are keen to speak to anyone that has an idea for fundraising or raising our profile Hereford county hospital has just installed two pods made by an American company, MetroNaps. The futuristic-looking devices comprise a bed covered by a low-slung circular lid, and offer soothing music, lights and vibrations to aid the quest for a rest.

The “User Manual” tag in the carry bag suggests that you lay the SlumberPod material over the playard, whereas in my version I choose to do it flat on the ground. Both ways work just fine and allow for one-person assembly in 2 minutes or less. Step 1 I can’t make promises, but for our children, they slept SO much longer on travel mornings when they were sleeping in the Slumber Pod. Plus, parents everywhere are obsessed with them so they hold their value when you go to resell it in a few years once you’re done using yours.

My son kept throwing his stuffed animals out which led my daughter to keep jumping out of bed to return them to him, over and over. Cots and small inflatable mattresses (follow recommended age guidelines) including the Regalo My Cot Portable Toddler Bed™, the Baby Delight Go with Me Bungalow Deluxe Portable Travel Cot and the Ozark Trial Kids Camping Airbed. The window design has changed slightly in the new SlumberPod. The new setup has changed the rear windows and kept the same design for the front windows. The creators of SlumberPod consulted with two different product safety consultants with deep experience in juvenile products, sought counsel from a product safety attorney, and worked with two independent accredited product safety testing laboratories — including using a third-party physician selected by the laboratory — to ensure Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) compliance and safety.Built with safety in mind — passes applicable consumer product safety tests and more (see Safety below for details)

However, keep in mind that because of the complete darkness it’s next to impossible for a toddler to figure out how to unzip the tent from the inside. One can say that it’s fantastic, but my own child was fully potty trained at night at 2.5 years and he started going to the bathroom at night quietly. If I put him in SlumberPod and he doesn’t know how to get out of it to go pee he’ll start screaming waking everyone up.

How Does the Slumber Pod Work?

M ini-cribs including Babyletto Mini Crib, Bloom Alma Mini-crib, DaVinci Emily 2-in1 Mini-crib, Dream On Me Aden 4-in-1, Delta Children portable crib, and LA Baby® The Original Bedside Manor Mini Crib. Sharing a hotel room with a baby or toddler, especially multiple ones, can be daunting. Kids get easily distracted by you moving around the room and you might not necessarily want to go to bed at 7 pm. In the past, many parents were hiding in the bathroom, but these days there are other, much more pleasant solutions. Although there are a lot of things that make the SlumberPod great, some people say it’s too big, too hard to see into, or too expensive.

However, SlumberPod resolves this problem completely by giving babies a safe and secure sleeping bunker that keeps out light. Because of this, moms can let babies sleep in the same room as theirs. Not only will it help your child get the right amount of sleep, but it will also help you get your required rest. ProsSlumberPod’ was pitched to the Sharks by co-founders and mother-daughter duo Lou Childs and Katy Mallory (from Atlanta, Georgia) in January 2020. Curious to know what ‘SlumberPod’ is, how it came to be, and where Lou and Katy’s business stands today? Well, we’ve got you covered. If you’re wondering why the price of SlumberPod is high, it’s because of the material – it’s truly a quality fabric you won’t find in any SlumberPod alternatives. Ventilation pouches on the sides We had her sleep in the SlumberPod at home overnight for awhile before our first trip traveling with it. This is a great budget option for parents looking to get a tent that’s easy to assemble and carry around.
