I noticed that Lara enjoyed the activities on the VTech walker more than the Leapfrog and would spend more time playing with them. Unfortunately, it was a 3 year old VERY used hand-me down and it recently broke (the voice/lights don't work). I personally prefer the look of the VTech activity plate too as the primary colours make it look more appealing. My daughter is clearly enjoying it and said her first french word 'au revoir' after the 3rd time playing with it! I understand it's to keep the traction by the baby as opposed to ahead of them and risking the walker flipping, but I think it should be an option that once baby is doing well enough that you can switch the sides. it also features three play modes for listening to music, playing learning games and getting active.All Leapfrog toys are educator-approved, child-tested, follow national standards and feature British spellings, phonics and pronunciations. The table is great because our LO isn't standing but we took off the legs and he really gets into it. Such factors as a child's developmental skill set and toy popularity help determine the enjoyment levels of a product. All the cool stuff on front that you see in the picture does move when the child pushes the walker, but doesn't respond to direct manipulation, which is kind of a bummer.

I have 2, not so little boys, that tried to put this toy through the ringer, but it's still going strong!It is quite stable and sturdy for little ones to push without trouble, but the keyboard on it doesn't respond to their exploration. I bought the Leap Frog Learning Band Walker for my daughter who, at the time, was about five months old. Before we got this toy he was trying to stand with the playpen and couch, all of the things that did not move which he hadn't been too happy with.
