So auch den ersten der vier Protagonisten, den dreifachen Familienvater Didrik, der mit seiner Familie auf der Flucht vor den Flammen ist. Dabei handelt er teils aus reinem Überlebensistinkt, teils aber auch aus Selbstdarstellung und Selstgerechtigkeit. Dieser erste Teil der Flucht liest sich rasant ist spannend und fesselnd.
