Silver Cross is not adding any new colors to the Jet3, but is removing two of the previous 2020 model's color options, Mist and Ocean. You can choose different styles, colour, car seat and price. The Jet scrubbed up well after being wiping clean with a cloth and left to air dry as per the instructions. After just over a year of travelling with the Silver Cross Jet to 5 different countries, I decided to trade in both my Silver Cross Wayfarer pram and Silver Cross Jet travel stroller for a Babyzen Yoyo+ as we were no longer getting much use out of the pram. The best bits of the Silver Cross Jet include its super light weight, compact fold and the fact you can use it from birth without an insert as it lies flat completely. Despite its small wheels, it also takes on bumps in the road and uneven ground surprisingly well. Our parent tester, Adele, took it off-roading, across grass and up hills, in addition to along the pavement and – apart from on the very bumpiest of surfaces – found it generally effortless to push. If you already own a Silver Cross Simplicity or Dream car seat, like we did, another major bonus is that the Jet can be used with it. ( Jet Simplicity/ Dream adaptors sold separately.) This movement isn’t one-handed and it takes a bit of practice for folding to become a seamless movement, but it’s simple once you know how.

We took our car seat on all our family trips last year as we found it more convenient to travel with one, and being able to pop it on the buggy rather than be another thing that needed carrying was awesome. Under seat storage The padded lie-flat seat is a huge bonus as it means you can use the buggy from birth with no additional inserts and your child has lots of room to nap comfortably on the go. The 2020 Silver Cross Jet is small yet sturdy, featuring upgraded suspension along with wider wheels for added stability. Does your baby nap comfortably in it? Yes, definitely, when he still did such a thing. The Jet was really useful for buggy naps between the ages of 4 to 12 months for us. See above for details. The smaller, slightly awkward basket may also bother those who like to load up their pushchairs, especially with a younger baby in tow.

New for 2020, the Silver Cross Jet car seat adapter now includes a bar that provides better stability for the car seat and attaches more easily, too. The bar and adapters can be disassembled for easier transport. I would honestly recommend both of these travel strollers. I did a lot of research before buying each of them and they have both served their purpose and more. While most of the 62 upgrades involve behind-the-scenes engineering work, parents will notice the stroller's sturdier and smoother ride, upgraded fabrics, and a roomier, more structured seat that now accommodates a child up to 55 pounds. The Jet is a particularly narrow model so gets through small spaces with ease and manages most doorways well, making it a brilliant option for city living. Plus, the 2020 Jet includes more premium fabrics with added detailing, like an improved UPF 50+ sun visor and leatherette piping on the harness pads (seen on the left in the photo below, compared with the 2019 fabrics on the right.) The latest version includes a comfier seat, stylish new look and wider wheels for better suspension, all of which have been great for getting out and about locally. In addition to these shiny new upgrades, the best thing about the new Jet is that it has retained all the best features of the original model. How small it folds Both the 2019 and 2020 versions of the Silver Cross Jet are among the lightest and most compact strollers on the market, meeting carry-on requirements for all major airlines. The materials feel middle of the road, but the handlebar and bumper bar are covered in leatherette which give them a high-end feel. As mentioned previously, you can take off the seat pad and hood for the Yoyo and pop them in the wash at 30 degrees, so I think it will be easier to keep clean than the Jet, which is wipe clean only. Silver Cross still make their Classic Heritage coach built collection in Yorkshire by hand using traditional methods passed down from generation to generation. Silver Cross is a trustworthy brand with a reputation for quality and safety. Some of its disadvantages, however, are how awkward it is to use the basket due to a metal bar in the middle of it. It’s also made from a material that is wipe clean only, which means you can’t take sections off and pop it in the washing machine like you can with the Babyzen Yoyo.
