So fantastic, even with the edited scene, to be able to watch the much loved Christmas Special again Have loved Just Good Friends forever. Paul Nicholas and Jan Francis are outstanding in their roles as Vince - the cockney, unreliable, Jack-the-lad with a witty one-liner for every occasion - and Penny - the posh, prim and proper lady. When Vince got cold feet and left Penny standing at the altar, Penny got on with her life and tried to forget Vince. This is a series which it’s hard not to like, a not entirely cosy sitcom that will resonate with anyone who has loved and lost and loved again.

We had to keep reverting back to the copyright foreword to try and understand why this was happening!Rather than take umbrage, he set about creating Penny as a fully-rounded character, not merely a victim or someone there simply to service the jokes. Nicholas’ Vince has a touch of the Del Boy about him, Sullivan not always making it clear if he is the cad he often appears, which has the effect of making him a curiously unsympathetic leading man.

In 'I Don't Want to See You Again', Vince asks Penny to move in with him - but how will they break it to her parents? In 'Let's Spend the Night Together', Vince tries to persuade Penny to stay the night with him - but when she hears the lyrics to a Cat Steven song she changes her mind. Written by John Sullivan (Only Fools and Horses, Citizen Smith), this is a classic story of love, lost and found, where the question on everyone’s lips is will Vince and Penny remain ‘just good friends’? Exacerbating Vince and Penny's predicament are both sets of parents, Vince's Les and Rita are all leopard print and Brylcreem, whilst Penny's Daphne and Norman are quite the opposite, wine tasting and twin set types. Written by John Sullivan ( Only Fools And Horses, Citizen Smith), this is a classic story of love, lost and found, where the question on everyone's lips is will Vince and Penny remain 'just good friends'?If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. The son of an MI6 agent, Nicholas had, like Vince, got quite far seemingly just on charm and cheek, with a resume that included musical theatre (lead roles in Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar and Grease), movie turns in Tommy and the bizarre flop Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and a string of novelty records starting with the David Bowie produced and written Over The Wall We Go and going on to such grim gems as Reggae Like It Used To Be. Just Good Friends: Series 1-3 All 24 episodes of the BBC sitcom charting the problematic relationship between Vince (Paul Nicholas), an East End bookmaker, and Penny Warrender (Jan Francis), an upmarket girl from Chipping Ongar. She’s a real bunny boiler hell bent on not just splitting up Vince and Penny but taking half his fortune. We also sell a wide range of refurbished Mobile Phones and Tech from major brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft and much more. There are one or two of the plot lines that aren’t very believable and some of the characters are a bit OTT but overall I can strongly recommend this box set.Loved the Christmas special which was effectively a prequel of how they got there and what happened before. Written by John Sullivan (Only Fools and Horses Citizen Smith) this is a classic story of love lost and found where the question on everyone's lips is will Vince and Penny remain just good friends'? Series 3 episodes are: 'Paris', 'Back in London', 'Meeting By Chance', 'Juanita', 'The Witness', 'Employment Prospects' and 'The Wedding'.
