With Peter Rabbit proving to be one of the UK’s most popular characters to ever feature on UK coins, this new release is set to prove incredibly sought-after amongst Beatrix Potter fans and collectors alike. Mrs. Tittlemouse is a tidy wood mouse who was part of the Beatrix Potter children’s book series. She was briefly introduced in The Tale of The Flopsy Bunnies but later featured in her own story, The Tale of Mrs Tittlemouse. She is in a constant battle to keep her home clean and organized amidst a steady stream of visitors who spread muddy footprints and cobwebs as they come in and out of her home. Remember, just because it’s a completed listing, this doesn’t mean the buyer ended up paying that price! In a continuation of the popular series from The Royal Mint that was first issued in 2016 to celebrate Beatrix Potter’s 150th birthday, the Mrs Tittlemouse coin joined the collection as the final coin in the series. The 2017 Benjamin Bunny coins were one of the first 50 p coins released in 2017 to celebrate Beatrix Potter’s life.

There are 25 million of the Beatrix Potter Benjamin Button coins minted in circulation. This actually makes the coin the most likely to be found, as some of the other 50ps in the collection have a far lower mintage of 1.4 million.Emma Noble had worked at the Royal Mint for 20 years before she was chosen to design the Beatrix Potter series of coins. She had previously worked on pieces commemorating the Diamond Jubilee and Remembrance Sunday. Mrs. Tittlemouse Some 25,000,000 Benjamin Bunnys, designed by Emma Noble, were issued in 2017, making them the most popular 50p coins in the series. The Mrs. Tittlemouse coin was designed to celebrate the Beatrix Potter character by the same name. Mrs Tittlemouse is from the children’s book entitled The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse. Just like the old fairy tale of ‘the elves and the shoemaker’, the Tailor of Gloucester is helped by some grateful friends. He is trying to finish a very important outfit for the Mayor of Gloucester in time for Christmas Day and, although he cuts the cloth, he is too tired and ill to finish the task. Issued to celebrate 150 years since the birth of renowned Children’s author, Beatrix Potter, this 50p changed coin collecting forever.

The Reverse image is designed by Emma Noble. Emma Noble had designed the 2015 coins to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Beatrix Potter. When the Royal Mint issued additional Beatrix Potter coins in 2016, Emma Noble was again chosen to design them. Her designs were once again seen on 2017 and 2018 coins, including the Mrs Tittlemouse coin. Her designs were also featured on the 2019 collector edition Peter Rabbit coin.Whilst collectible to some people, we only collect coins as issued by The Royal Mint. Peter Rabbit 50p Silver Proof Coin 2017 Peter Rabbit 2017 50p Silver Proof Coin Each of these sells to British coin collectors for more than their fifty pence face value. Beatrix Potter Coin Collections Inspired by Beatrix Potter’s classic tales that have enchanted readers of all generations for more than 100 years, this brand new release is set to be incredibly popular amongst Beatrix Potter fans and collectors alike.

Know the facts from fiction

The Mrs Tittlemouse 50p coin was released in 2018 as part of the third instalment of the Beatrix Potter series. Other 50p coins issued that same year include Beatrix Potter The Tailor of Gloucester, Flopsy Bunny, and Peter Rabbit. Additionally, two Paddington Bear coins were issued that same year as well as a coin commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Representation of the People Act. You can buy coins in many versions from coins that have been found in general UK coin circulation up to gold proof coins. Beatrix Potter 50p coins in circulation Beatrix Potter 50p coins are a collection of beautifully designed fifty pence coins from The Royal Mint in the UK. A new one has been released for each year by the Royal Mint and holds different coins so make sure you get one that matches the coins you have collected. Beatrix Potter had a pet bunny called Peter Piper as a child – he was her second rabbit after Benjamin Bouncer, who became famous in his own tale, Beatrix’s fourth book. Peter appears in six tales altogether, revisiting Mr. McGregor’s garden with his friend Benjamin Bunny. He also makes an appearance in ‘The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies’, now with a more grown-up approach to gardening. In the tale, Peter Rabbit has his own vegetable patch where he grows cabbages, although not enough to feed the Flopsy Bunnies!

In addition to the standard 50p designs, several reverse designs have been minted on the 50p coin to commemorate important events. As there was not always quite enough to eat, Benjaminused to borrow cabbages from Flopsy's brother, Peter Rabbit, who kept a nursery garden. Sometimes Peter Rabbit had no cabbages to spare.” So the scarcest Beatrix Potter coin in general circulation is the 2018 Peter Rabbit along with Flopsy Bunney at 1.4 million coins minted. Beatrix Potter 50p coins saw the release of Silver Proof editions for Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Mr. Jeremy Fisher, and Tom Kitten.
