Description

The author is someone that I discovered on tik tok through one of the poems that she has in this book that left me completely speechless. it is better to love your beehive and to accept that not everything will be sunshine but you can always find a way back to it.

The poems are written in a Rupi Kaur-esque way, but instead of enjoying 5-10% of the poems in Kaur's bundles, the poems in Hanson's "Home" resonated/moved/intrigued me about 40-50% of the time. Climate by Whitney Hanson was my choice for this month, a 300-and-something-page book with every page filled with a different poem. Some poems were absolutely heart touching, others just 2 lines on a page and a reminder about the trees wasted to print the book. This book broke my heart in the most beautiful way - I did not cry externally, but for sure I cried internally. i never realised i would rate a poetry but this was more than five stars, it was a balm that was put on my soul, my heart, my brain.

i’m looking forward to revisiting this book in future stages of my life and feeling new things as i read whitney’s beautiful work. If your going through a healing process or just need something with a peace of mind this is definitely a must have.

Since then, I’ve realized that each day builds the climate of my mind and every storm or ray of sunshine holds an important place in this life. With stops in Nusa Penida, Uluwatu, and Canggu, this trip will take you on a tour of the best beaches Bali has to offer. Tracing the stages of healing - from the despair that comes with the end of a relationship to the eventual light and liberation that comes with time - the poems in Home provide comfort and solace, while revitalizing your soul - and helping you make peace with your bees. Here is a quick description and cover image of book Home written by Whitney Hanson which was published in October 21, 2021. This collection shows that you don’t always need “big fancy words” to create good works, even though she does have great use of word choice throughout her pieces.

Every word turns into an emotion, and in each of her books that I have read her pages made me discover pieces of my heart.J’ai aimé la simplicité des mots de Whitney et la justesse de ceux-ci malgré qu’elle n’avait que 20 ans lors de l’écriture de son recueil.
