Try to be mindful about how much water you give your begonias. Allow the top two inches of larger pots and the top inch of smaller pots dry out before watering again liberally. There are also lots of great moisture meters out there that can help you determine how much water is being held at the bottom of each pot. Tuberous begonias are grown from round, fleshy tubers. They have big, showy flowers in bright shades of pink, yellow, orange, red and white, throughout summer and into autumn. They make excellent pot and hanging basket plants, as some of them trail. As they won't survive in cold weather, the tubers are often planted as annuals each year, or dug up and stored indoors for the winter.

Begonia is a genus of perennial flowering plants in the family Begoniaceae. The genus contains more than 2,000 different plant species. The Begonias are native to moist subtropical and tropical climates. Some species are commonly grown indoors as ornamental houseplants in cooler climates. In cooler climates some species are cultivated outside in summertime for their bright colorful flowers, which have sepals but no petals. While almost all Begonias can be propagated by stem or leaf cuttings, rhizomatous varieties are also propagated by division. Propagating Semi-Tuberous (Indoors) Begonia Bossa Nova Rose is another hanging variety of begonia. It features narrow leaves and lots of small bright pink blossoms hanging downward on arching stems. This one belongs in a hanging basket where it will produce a single ball of these fantastic flowers dripping down. As far as pests go, look out for mealybugs, scale insects, or spider mites. Mealybugs and spider mites appear as white on stems under a magnifying glass, while scale insects range in color from white to tan to brown.
