In September 2004, the Chemical Brothers released the seventh "Electronic Battle Weapon". "Electronic Battle Weapon 7" was being released as a one-sided promo-only 12-inch, containing "Acid Children". A marked departure from the Chemical Brothers' previous musical endeavours, it featured a screeching 303 bassline and a distinctive vocal sample; a pitch-altered vocal sample proclaiming "You Are All My Children Now!", which is lifted from the horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. It was coupled with the projection of a sinister clown mouthing these same words at their live gigs. We were very conscious of making the album work together as a whole,” adds his partner. “The first half an hour consists of solid beats, but it also has other stuff on there because people will hear it at home, not in a club.” This Chemical Brothers discography is ranked from best to worst, so the top Chemical Brothers albums can be found at the top of the list. As anyone who ever made it to a Heavenly Sunday Social night will already know, Tom and Ed don’t particularly like the idea of confining themselves to one narrow band of music and Exit Planet Dust is sure to stand as the most eclectic dance album you will uncover this year. From hip-hop to acid to funk to techno, goodness knows where their heads were at when they were in the studio. Especially since the album was recorded in a mere three weeks.

It’s probably me,” says Ed, a massive grin creasing his face. “I’ve been known to get a bit leary sometimes. But it’s not like I’m waltzing into clubs with two beautiful women and I’ve never gone out of my way to deliberately wind someone up. Not as far as I can remember.”The first taster of their fourth album, Come With Us, was released as a single in September 2001. Originally almost 10 minutes long, it’s an unrelenting, four-to-the-floor acid epic with intense bursts of polyrhythmic conga and timbales. The title is repeated throughout, courtesy of a booming sample from Jim Ingram’s “Drumbeat,” also sampled on Jungle Brothers’ “Done By The Forces Of Nature.” 16. Music: Response ( Surrender, 1999) The album was released in the UK in June 1995. Shortly before its release, Ed Simons said to Muzik that "nobody from the dance world has come up with an album to reflect these times. Why is that? Why is it left to a group like Oasis to express the way that young people want to go out and get battered every weekend? That's what The Chemical Brothers are about". [11] The first single from Push The Button (and a UK No. 3 hit) was a universal call for action featuring A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip on vocals. A decade on and the Chemical Brothers were still expanding their sound – the instrumental hook of “Galvanize” was a sample of the snaking string part from “Hadi Kedba Bayna,” a song by Moroccan singer Najat Aatabou. “Galvanize” was another example of The Chemical Brothers’ ability to create thrilling, party-ready dance music from disparate sources. It also won them a Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2006. 8. Life Is Sweet ( Exit Planet Dust, 1995)
