When asked why he likes oatmeal on toast, he r According to a Mr. Men treasury released in 2015, Adam Hargreaves finds him the hardest character to draw. He says, "Even though he is the simplest, I find Mr. Happy the most difficult. There are less breaks in the outline so I have to draw a longer perfect circular line to get him right. I sort of work from the outside inwards, always starting at the top, with the hat if they had one, and then draw the outline leaving gaps for the arms and legs and their face and expression come last". This was mentioned again in the Mr. Men 50th Anniversary Special Along with Mr. Scatterbrain, he is the only character to have the same voice in both the UK and US dubs.

Some fans have speculated that Mr. Rude has a fart fetish considering his obsession with farting seems to go beyond normal Gasshole tendencies, such as having a doorbell that makes a farting noise. His accent sparked some controversy in the UK, but due to Joey D'Auria being the only voice actor who voices Mr. Scatterbrain and Mr. Rude in both the US and UK versions and of the accent's familiarity in the US, Mr. Rude's accent meant no harm to the UK and got no punishment. Mr Lazy lives in sleepyland a strange place where there are only four hours in a day. Mr Lazy is lazy, and he loves it but this all changes when he meets Mr Busy and Mr Bustle who overwork him. Mr Funny Mug Mr. Tall appears under the titles Monsieur Grand (French), Don Alto (Spanish), Unser Herr Riesig (German), Meneertje Lang (Dutch), Fætter Høj (Danish), Ο Κύριος Ψηλός (Greek), Pan Tyka (Polish), 長腿先生 (Taiwan), 키다리씨 (Korean), Herra Hár (Icelandic), and Senhor Alto (Portuguese). Bizarro Episode: Though it can be chalked up to Early-Installment Weirdness, there are several things about Mr. Snow and his story that doesn't fit in with the rest of the series:Mr. Nosy's is one of these that fans tend to polarize. Some dislike the new look, as the old design with his long nose helps portray the character for his traits. But there's some that like the new look, as it's more friendlier looking ( considering the original made it look like something else). Watch out if the careless and clumsy Miss Whoops comes your way. She loves to help, but is a walking disaster who's unaware of the chaos she leaves in her path. Miss Calamity's absence, as some fans speculated that she may've died after the first season. Though like with Mr. Noisy, the comics revealed that she still exists. Mr. Scatterbrain can't have a normal conversation, his mind races in a thousand confusing directions, and he always remembers his tasks a little too late. Little Miss Scatterbrain and Little Miss Stubborn have had their genders reassigned to become Mr. Scatterbrain and Mr. Stubborn due to the fact that the writers wanted the female characters to remain mostly positive. Aesop Enforcer: He helps teach Little Miss Brave about resilience in ''Mr. Men, Little Miss: Try Again. Mr Mean Mug The writers for both Mr. Strong and Miss Sunshine's comics added Miss Calamity after the fan reactions that she was removed in the show.Mr. Birthday is part of the Mr. Men series of books, by Roger Hargreaves. Mr. Birthday is a Mr. Man who just loves birthdays, and is also the best at organising birthdays, such as a party with silly hats for Mr. Silly, and one without balloons for Mr. Jelly, in case they burst. He once organised Mr. Happy's birthday, which he celebrated. Mr. Happy tells him not to forget about a party he knew nothing about: his own birthday. Mr. Worry and Mr. Forgetful spread rumours about this, but can Mr. Birthday celebrate this birthday? Mr. Birthday was published under the title of Monsieur Anniversaire in French.

Two of the show's characters, Little Miss Calamity and Little Miss Daredevil, were created exclusively for the television series. In The Mr. Men Show, Mr. Rude usually farts after he says "I'll give you (something)" then a character shouts out "MR. RUDE!" Mr. Lazy is the 17th book in the Mr. Men series by Roger Hargreaves. Mr. Lazy is lazy, he lives in Sleepyland, where there are only four hours a day, as opposed to 24, and it takes two regular hours for water to boil and three regular hours for bread to toast. One day, Mr. Lazy sits down for a nap and is awoken by Mr. Busy and Mr. Bustle. They overwork him, until Mr. Bustle blows a whistle, requiring Mr. Lazy to run as fast as he can. Mr. Lazy runs, but his legs don't get him anywhere because he is sitting on a chair in the garden. He wakes up, realising it was all a dream, and the whistle was the kettle boiling in the kitchen. He sits down to have breakfast, and he goes to sleep yet again only for the events in the dream to really happen. Second Season Downfall: While not considered outright bad, season 2 is seen as weaker then the first for several reasons, such as Miss Calamity being removed, Mr. Bump and Mr. Fussy's increased Butt-Monkey nature, the reduced amount of shorts and the new characters not having enough screen time. He didn't find it funny when Mr. Grumpy laughed at him when after he fell on his own nose. (Which had grown big)
