Maggie Moves On also has some trademark deliciously steamy scenes that Score readers will be happy to know are in this trad pubbed book. The romance, the characters, Maggie’s past, the mystery and the added tension of the YouTube series being filmed makes this a five star read for me.

Silas has a big family with two Moms and two Dads. I so loved all of the Wright family. Silas pretty much falls for Maggie at first sight. A smitten hero is my catnip! Silas is calling Maggie his “future wife” in his head shortly after their first meeting and saying things like, “I’d hate for us to hit a deal-breaker this early in our relationship.” So, here are the things I loved the most about this book, which was of course a one-stitting kind of reading experience – which is the only way a Lucy Score book should be experienced :D. Lucy Score never ceases to amaze me with her literary talent. Maggie Moves On is another one of her books that simply MUST be made for TV viewing. Her characters are so relatable and charming. Even the super crabby ones like Wallace. You can’t help but fall in love with each one created for this book, including (maybe even especially) the dog “Kevin”. Maggie Moves On is full of small-town delightfulness which includes a mystery, adorable pets, the family you can create, a budding romance, steamy scenes, and amazing banter. I smiled so much while reading it. I hope you do too. That’s one of the reasons I have great faith in Lucy Score, she always gives me a good and uplifting story. I’ll come straight out and say this is for the fans of Nora Roberts, the ones who grew up reading her idyllic yet gripping stories that were so rich in community and work ethic and found a family like they are. in romance. Also meet secondary romances. I, I mean me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very romantic and sexier than my 90’s and 2000’s reads, but it’s firmly rooted in the book’s other themes; the home remodeling and landscaping and the town of Kinship which I fell head over heels in love with.Fun filled, this one will capture your heart. I really loved Silas's character and the pooch Kevin was an added bonus! Bursting with sizzling chemistry, charming characters, and heartwarming small town feels, Maggie Moves On is rom-com gold. I can't stop smiling!

Maggie and Silas really were the best. I loved Silas and his flirtatious nature straight away, he was so charming and sweet from the start. This man melted me! He loved Maggie and her commanding attitude and everything she had achieved and overcome. I understood what she wanted and the conflict it caused since Silas was after her. now I’m gonna talk about these characters, because I really liked them at first. I liked how Silas had the whole “love at first sight” thing, and Maggie was persistent on doing her job. But as I got to know these characters, especially when they were together, I disliked them more and more. All in all, this was a cute read and I enjoyed getting to spend time with Maggie, Silas, Dean, Michael, Kevin and the rest of the gang. Although it was open door with a good bit of spice throughout the second half of the book, it had all the Hallmark vibes one could ask for. I loved the concept of found family that is presented several times over. Having never read anything by Lucy Score, I was so excited when Forever Publishing was kind enough to send a gorgeous finished copy my way. And then for some reason or another, it kept getting pushed further down my list of books to read. After having a horrendous weekend, I finally decided it was time to read this charming rom-com full of small town quirkiness, the cutest Pitbull named Kevin, and all the chaos home renovation brings with it, especially while filming it for social media.

What might have been just lighthearted flirting, caught on fast, and he was soon sincerely wooing the woman of his dreams. He was straight up swoony with his actions to win her over. He wouldn’t speak to her until she apologized to him, when again, she did nothing wrong. And then she would apologize to him anyway. The amount of times I set my book down wanting to scream that she did nothing wrong, that she doesn’t have to apologize to this man— now to say something about Maggie; she is such a bland character. I didn’t relate to her, I didn’t like her, I didn’t dislike her. It was as if she didn’t even exist, because she added nothing to anything. Which doesn’t really make sense, given the fact that she’s the main character in this novel— but she’s done nothing memorable for the story.
