Description

The XP Deus and The XP Deus II use what XP calls “Reactivity” which is also equivalent to the “Recovery Speed” on the Minelab Equinox. Does the XP Deus II have a faster recovery speed than the Equinox? Early tests and videos of side by side comparisons are showing that the Deus II has the advantage. The XP Deus has always been a really fast metal detector and it appears that XP has definitely improved what was already a very fast machine. Their proprietary use of Fast Multi-Frequency (FMF) appears to be giving them an edge over the Equinox. XP Deus Reactivity Chart Reactivity Number

But this is where the XP Deus 2 excels. First, switch on the XP Deus 2 by putting the coil onto the sand and pressing the power button. The LED will start up, and now you can adjust the settings. Battery life: Remote Control up to 25H - Headphones up to 17H - Coil up to 20H depending on programs and frequencies (see instruction manual) XP wireless protocol (10 times faster than low latency Bluetooth) between the coil, the WS6 module, and the headphones (+ the optional wireless Pinpointer MI6) The XP Deus 2 has all these features: fully waterproof to 20m, the FMF frequency range, and bone-conduction headphones. The new XP Deus II has its own series of search coils, which are not compatible with the previous Deus, and the first Deus’ coils are not compatible with the new metal detector.

XP DEUS II Features:

I've read several threads on the soon-to-be-fielded Deus 2 and how it will compare to the Equinox. There have been many good views on this topic so I thought I'd share mine. As you read this, keep in mind the views expressed here are worth just as much as you've paid for them. 😁 The XP Deus 2 has 12 programs with other individual adjustable parameters within. The standard programs you will find are:

Additionally, we strongly recommend watching the tutorial video below titled "Update Procedure" to guide you through the update process. The XP Deus has been on the market since 2009. It was marketed as the world’s first fully wireless metal detector and featherlight at only 750g, which is 50g lighter than the new XP Deus 2. The very first accessory that should be paid huge attention to is of course the innovative, groundbreaking bone conduction headphones for XP Deus II. This technology has never been used in the hobby metal detecting niche before. The XP BH-01 are waterproof up to 65 feet.No matter what you get out of this article, the facts are the facts. Both the Deus II and the Equinox are excellent metal detectors and while some of you will never part with your Minelab, Garrett, XP, Fisher, etc. machines, there will be others who may like something in one of these metal detectors that might draw them into trying something new.

The truth is the price reflects the quality of what you’re getting and the fact that it’s lightweight combined with its superior ergonomics will allow you to hunt for longer, resulting in more finds. XP Deus 2 VS. XP DeusUses 1 (Mono) frequency adjusts from 4 to 45kHz. Works in a single frequency. Good for EMI rejection, Use when in conditions where FMF is not suitable due to interference etc. You’re right in that the original Deus was not a real salt water machine and that’s the main reason I sold it. I have higher hopes for the Deus 2 DIVING: FMF • Max. freq. 14khz • Conductive soil subtraction. DIVING is the first and most stable of three programs intended for submerging in saltwater environments or simply on wet sand. Its very low and medium subtracted frequencies will better locate valuable targets such as rings and coins, whilst naturally being less responsive to low conductive targets like aluminum foil compared to the more sensitive Beach 11 and 12 programs. It can thus save time and be more effective in difficult diving conditions. Waterproof: I owned a Deus and found it to be a solidly engineered machine so I'm not a skeptic where XP claims of being waterproof are concerned. Were I to make a wager, I'd bet on much better waterproof performance in the Deus II than was the original ML waterproof claim for the EQX. Being truly waterproof is important for me and not because I hunt deeper than 1 foot in salt water these days because I don't. Ours is an outdoor hobby so I think all detectors should be waterproof...at the very least, reliably weatherproof. How many times have you been caught in the rain or dropped your detector in a puddle of water? Even if you are a land hunter and never go near any water, replacing a damaged or inop machine due to moisture intrusion isn't a trivial thing. Simultaneous Multi Frequency (40dBµA/m at 10m) or between the 49 singlefrequencies from 4 to 45 kHz.
