The addition of OptiFibre ® to the diet should be gradually increased to suit individual requirements. 5-25g of the product is recommended per day, or as recommended by a healthcare professional. For children from 3 to 10 years of age the fibre requirement is calculated by adding 5 to 10g to the child’s age, e.g. 5 years + (5 to 10g) = 10 to 15g fibre per day.1

OptiFibre is simple to use and easy to integrate into your daily life. It has no taste or smell and can be mixed into any hot or cold non-carbonated drinks (water, coffee, tea, fruit juice, etc.) or liquid foods (yoghurts, soups etc.), without changing their texture. The first laxative effects may take 48 to 72 hours to appear, depending on your individual sensitivity. When the OptiFibre ® is administered via a PEG, it is important to flush the feeding tube before and after the addition of the liquid mixture containing OptiFibre ®.Laxative action (1,4): softens the stools and increases the frequency of bowel movements. Adults: start with one scoop per day and, if necessary and depending on your own sensitivity to the product, add an extra scoop every 3 days. Do not exceed 4 sccops (20g) per day.
