Kailh Box Switch Set - Keychron

These are genuinely good for people who want to build up there stamina while typing fast for longer periods of time or a slower typist who wants to learn accuracy, feel the great tactility and (as an added bonus) make everyone around you believe you are typing twice as fast you really are :). Even though this seems to show that Kailh is a clear winner, I would not personally read too much into this. Also because of the massive tactility and the light upstroke I always felt that I was never truly able to relax and get into a rhythm, or "float" like I mentioned above.I will always keep these and use them on another board to break out when I want to torture myself with a finger/forearm work out. I know a lot of people have problems with these bottoming out but for me after a few days I got used to them and I didn't have a problem with that. I read people say that it's a bad idea since the box switches have holes in the bottom but that isn't the case for the box Jades and crystal jades that I own? They have a stiffer spring towards the end of the keystroke, similar in feel to the Kailh Heavy switches and are quite difficult to bottom out. These babies are holy dang tactile, I used other words when describing to friends but I think holy dang is pretty good.

The switch actuation wasn't the problem, I quite like the feel, the problem is the reset that I just mentioned. A rubber nub reaches out of this box to connect the motion of the stem to the leaves and thus activate the switch. The tactile bump allows typists to achieve higher typing speeds as they are aware of the point the switch activates and can therefore remove their finger and move to the next key. I am not sure how I would feel if they were in someone else's keyboard as they typed near me, but that is not something I need to be concerned about presently.I will go through each switch from my most disliked to my favorite, just know that I don't hate ANY of these switches at all I just prefer some over others. I guess that would be because stepped keys are meant to be used on a board with at least a bit of incline instead of a flat board. This may throw some seasoned typists off at first but I actually prefer it, and the added bonus/detriment is that it sounds to anyone else around you that you're typing twice as fast as you actually are. After less than a week I could steadily feel the reset time of these get slowly worse, nothing too drastic just noticeable. Heavier switches are better for gaming because they offer more resistance and require more force to activate.
