With that kind of talent, I don't think it will take Carol Mason long to get a pretty large reader base.

The cover makes it look like more of a classic, period-type romance book when it's in fact largely set in 2017. To be honest, I don't think this book is truly a three-star book, but I don't want to give it two stars either, which would make it seem as if I disliked the book when in reality, I think I'm just more disappointed. In the past, I would have probably said yes, because let’s be honest, what’s worse than spending the rest of your life by yourself? Fifteen years ago in the colourful bustle of Vietnam, Celine and Patrick met and shared four blissful days together.Even so, despite the breakneck speed with which this year has zipped past, the high note it ended on gives me absolutely no regrets.

He was so incredible in his love for Celine and the way he cared for not only her but everyone around him. Her skills are put to the ultimate test when they come across a serial killer in their small crime-free town. She admits to her sister that she is not ‘in love’ with Mike as she can only recognise Patrick as her one true love.

I could sense Celine’s impossible decision and her residual feelings for both men, BUT I WANTED MORE! I can honestly say that without a doubt, The Love Market is by far my favorite Chick Lit novel I've ever read. Usually when I read, I tend to prefer one character than the other, but honestly, this book had moments that I didn't know who was the right person for Celine. Life is never as black and white as a romance novel, and the ending Mason gave her novel speaks of reality, as it was somewhat bittersweet. When I saw Emily Houghton had a new book being published I was SO excited as I LOVED her other book Before I Saw You.
