Before the internet fell in love with Baby Yoda, Ewoks were the cutest icon from the Star Wars universe. The furry, small, critter-like beings were introduced by Return of the Jedi, in which they helped the Rebel Alliance defeat the Galactic Empire. The conflict, commonly referred to as the Battle of Endor, was a climactic event and has gone on to be one of the most beloved aspects in canon, serving as a setting in various spin-off properties. Although Ewoks are not the reason why the Battle of Endor is so enduring — certainly Ewoks are in some awful Star Wars properties — but the primal tool-using, Ewokese-speaking, forest-dwellers are certainly memorable, to say the least.
