On my second game I said screw it to the outer gens, and gave up on them immediately, focusing instead on getting my traps all around the centre of the board. The only downside I can potentially see is that the game is virtually random dice-free and is all about planning and tactics, thus experienced players are able to make it for an inexperienced killer incredibly hard.

The miniatures of the Survivors are all good, but it's really the Killer miniatures that stand out, and the creepy artwork on their Identity Boards helps bring them to life. Killers have to injure and hook their prey, getting a sacrifice point every time they hook a survivor (two if it’s their first time) and another one for every turn they stay on a hook. For instance, interacting with a crow gives you extra movement, while interacting with generators moves you one step closer to escaping.

Sadly I don't have local board game friends, so I couldn't justify the purchase at the time, but I'd love to mod the gen pieces especially to look like past event gens (especially the Summer BBQ event gens)!
