It tells us how we can ask our deceased loved ones to give us signs from the other side to let us know they’re okay. I knew then that my mom had sent me a sign loud and clear. She is still there watching over me, sending her love. It’s a lovely concept, if you don’t think too critically about it: the existence of the “other side”, shrouded in love and light. A reality where death isn’t real and we get to be with our loved ones again. Not just our loved ones, either, apparently. Our pets and our unborn babies, too, according to Laura Lynne! There were parts I like and parts I didn’t. The beginning and end were good but the middle was a slog. I believe in signs and that there’s more to the world and all, I just don’t believe with all the specific things she had put together to explain it all. I think she makes it too easy and makes the world seem too pretty, which brings me to my main qualm. It’s easy for me, a rich white girl, to believe all is great despite a few hiccups. But how could other people, people less fortunate than me, buy into that? How could a widow in Syria who lost all her kids and has nothing say life is great and all about togetherness and love?

It is obvious the author loves what she does as well as her clients. She & they have had incredible experiences. Her beliefs fit right in with mine so none of this was new to me & I have watched all the medium shows on TV. I didn't have the type of family relationships she talks about so I was hoping there would be more about spirit guide communication but I guess the same can be applied to them. I read or heard long ago that we shouldn't ask for a specific sign because they considered it testing or playing games & didn't like it but she & her clients have had good success & it seems like a good idea to me. This book will be comforting & probably life changing to whom these ideas are new. And she is partially right. But the book got clouded by this other stuff, by her and not her message. Also it just got plain ole repetitive. Do I need 1000 (exaggeration) stories of the same thing to get ur point? A collection of incredible stories . . . that speak to the universe’s endless capacity for magical moments.”—goop However, despite asking numerous times, I have not myself received any signs from passed loved ones, so this was disappointing. Since reading it the first time, I've lost a few people I cared about. The author reminded me that they are not completely gone from my life. I really liked hearing stories about how she has helped people connect with their loved ones and understand the messages being sent.A modern guide to connecting with the other side, Signs is full of stories of hope. Maybe it’s just not that easy to let go of the hope that you can still talk to the people you love once they’re gone. This is a very hopeful book for those that have suffered losses in their life. When someone passes away, we often wonder if they are doing okay and if they can connect with us. The author happens to be a psychic medium who is able to connect with people that have passed, and has the ability to convey messages. She believes that anyone is capable of connecting with our loved ones and provides many examples and ways to do so yourself.

Three or four days went by and nothing, and I was beginning to think the book was wishful thinking. Then on Saturday, my husband I were driving somewhere. We arrived at our destination, but I was talking on the phone with my dad because he had called me while we were driving so I didn’t get out immediately. We were sitting in the parking lot, chatting with my dad, when all of a sudden this beautiful green dragonfly flew up and starting banging against our windshield. It kept doing it. I started to cry and said, “It’s my dragonfly from my mom.” The dragonfly kept hovering by our car, and when I got out, it flew up to me and followed me for a minute. I know it sounds totally crazy, but it happened, my husband saw it for himself, and trust me, he is a total skeptic. Once the author asked for an orange to be put in her path as a sign, and came across a decoration with thousands of oranges. When we ask for a specific sign we may be sent it dozens of times in various creative ways. Several days ago I posted an update to my review thru the edit button. I don't know how long it takes to appear but it should have by now so I copied then deleted my original review & added the now 2 updates. Just as I submitted it the whole thing just disappeared! I will rewrite it as best I can & I apologize to the 2 people who said they found my review helpful but I thought the updates were important & I want to share them.April 2021: I re-read this book because it resonated with me so strongly that first time and I need some positivity and inspiration right now. Pandemic life has been hard on me, along with extra personal challenges I've faced recently. I feel isolated and less optimistic than usual. This book was a reminder that we are all connected, both here and on The Other Side. I feel inspired to ask The Universe for what I need and be open to guidance.

This book was just what I needed. So if you are wanting to open your mind to the possibilities of messages from the other side, read this book. It was a life changing read for me, and I am glad I took the chance. To be perfectly honest, I don’t have a strong opinion on psychic mediums, I don’t discount what they can do, but I have never had a personal experience with one, so I am on the fence. After reading this book, I am a believer.After that, I opened my mind to the rest of the book. All I can say, is that you have to read it for yourself, especially if you are struggling with the loss of a love one. It is a beautiful experience. We are given dozens of true life examples of people constantly receiving signs from the other side. The only chapter worth reading is 30...(why did I really suffer through 29 to get there)...which discusses the importance of art, travel, and basic self-care routines.
