That state-of-the-art silicon is coupled with 12GB of RAM and a choice of either 256GB or 512GB of built-in storage. Unlike the Note 10, the Galaxy Note 10+ does include a microSD slot which can be used to add up to 1TB of additional storage, so you’re unlikely to everrun out of space on this handset, with a maximum possible storage of 1.5TB beating many laptops, let alone other phones. To see how the Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G performed on Verizon's 5G network, the carrier lent me one of Samsung's phones for a four-hour test drive. I also brought along a regular Note 10 Plus so I could gauge whether the 5G phone could significantly outpace a comparable 4G device. The Note 10 Plus delivers on the hype of five cameras, with varying perspectives and superb performance from all, something we did find on the six-camera-lens LG G8. The Note 10 Plus also benefits from an overly generous 12GB of RAM for multitasking, rather than the 8GB of RAM in the regular model. As for storage, you’re restricted to 256GB, but with the option to expand this by a further 1TB via microSD. The Note 10 Plus’ battery is also larger at 4,200mAh in capacity and supports charging speeds up to 45W – although, the included charger is only 25W.

Samsung finally upgraded its Fast Charging capabilities to 45W, a dramatic increase from the 15W wall chargers we're used to using. In the box, however, you're getting a 25W charger, which we found to be a fine improvement for most people. We went from 0% to 100% in 70 minutes with the 25W charger. Samsung's own AI system was much akin to Bertie Wooster — had a funny name, didn't operate properly and got into mishaps False touches or not, you will want to hold onto the behemoth Note 10 Plus tightly. It can be slippery and extend beyond your natural grip. It's just that big. The S Pen allowed us to become the maestro of taking selfies, conducting the camera app to snap in multiple modes and take an endless parade of fun Live Focus shots. It worked for the most part, except you really new a tripod for this.

The clean One UI interface lines most navigation options on the bottom half of the Note 10 Plus screen, within thumb's reach. Everything on the device is well-laid-out. That's, sadly, not the case when extending Samsung's software beyond the phone. But get this mirrored finish in the right light and it has a memorizing rainbow effect, making the Note 10 Plus – literally – your new favorite shiny toy. It's a head-turner. We had 20% to 30% battery life after heavy use thanks to the hefty 4,300mAh battery capacity. That's roughly what we saw with the Galaxy S10 Plus, which had a smaller battery capacity, but also a smaller screen.

There's also one less button on the rails of this year's Note. The power button is now on the left side, as it's been combined with the much-maligned Bixby button. It's a good move. Oh, Bixby remains a completely mediocre voice assistant and the power button's move does take getting used to. But you'll be way more mindful of this new 'everything' button and quit mistakenly pressing it thinking it's volume down. T3 were pretty effusive about the Galaxy Note 10 in our hands-on review, and how its new compact design just feels right.Unfortunately the same can’t quite be said of the Note 10+, which is a rather unwieldy slab of glass and metal. Being completely honest, holding the handset for the first time is reminiscent of the engorged Galaxy S10 5G. Memory size - User memory is less than the total memory due to storage of the operating system and software used to operate the phones features.Having said that, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus’ stamina hasn’t taken a hit either, despite all of this power. In our video rundown test, with the screen set to the phone’s native resolution and at 170cd/m ² brightness, the Note 10 Plus lasted 19hrs 56mins on a single charge. Dial the resolution down to FHD+, and we managed to squeeze out almost an extra hour under the same conditions. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus review: Software It takes up the entire front of the phone and then some, with an edge-to-edge design that has pixels spilling over the left and right sides. The curved display comes to a fine point, making it satisfyingly sharp in more ways than one.
