Neo QLED TVs are expensive of course, but Samsung's 2021 lineup is a big one with many standard QLED sets and LCD models. But can any of these cheaper and more basic TVs hold a candle to Samsung's hot new tech? Let's find out. Accessibillity - Voice Guide UK English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian(only when connecting to Network in EE,LV,LT) FAQ for Samsung television. Set-up menus are similarly logical, and strike a nice balance between brevity and comprehensiveness. Achieving a picture that scrolls smoothly, defines edges confidently, and is decently bright and detailed, shouldn’t take long. Getting a colour balance you’re convinced by may take just a little longer.HDR10+ can adjust contrast to suit each scene. It shows its basic tendencies in other areas though. It has no PVR or built-in voice control. There’s slight resolution loss, too, during camera pans even after you’ve optimised the TV’s motion processing (by choosing Custom in the Picture Clarity menu and setting judder reduction to level four). If you’re intending to see the Samsung AU9000 TV perform at its best, then you’ll need to serve it some native 4K content with HDR10+ augmentation – because, as is always the case (and as is always galling) with Samsung, there’s no Dolby Vision dynamic metadata HDR standard on the spec-sheet. The UE50AU8000 is a native 4K TV that supports the HDR10, HLG and HDR10+ formats of high dynamic range video. There’s no support for the Dolby Vision HDR format because, well, that’s just the way Samsung TVs roll.

Choose from a range of networks and inclusive monthly plans to get started with your new Galaxy phone straight away. The UE50AU9000 even supports slightly – though we stress slightly – wider viewing angles than most LCD TVs, which could be handy if you have a few mates over for gaming nights. As you’d hope, the AU9000 has the design prowess and extra features required to start justifying its supposed cream of the Crystal 4K crop status. Whether or not you think its prowess extends to the performance, though, probably depends on what you most use your TV for. Price Spending a bit more on a Samsung you get a PVR and a microphone built into the remote so you can take advantage of Bixby voice control. The soundstage is cast way beyond the TV’s sides, for instance, creating an expansive, immersive and detailed audio environment. Sounds that are supposed to remain attached to the onscreen action, though, aren’t just kept there, but are positioned with accuracy. So, for instance, if people on the left and right of the screen are having a conversation, you will clearly hear the voices of each speaker coming from the correct side of the screen. We'd particularly recommend it if you're keen to hang it on a wall, as it's incredibly slim. However, it'll only meet you halfway in terms of gaming capabilities with three HDMI ports and capable sub-10ms input lag. It also has some upscaling ability but it’s no miracle-worker, which means SD content will predictably struggle here. Also consider: FAQ for Samsung Television.
