Description

Equipped with a lid, this grill allows for versatile cooking methods such as grilling, stir-frying, and boiling. Unfortunately, it does not have an adjustable thermostat, so users may need to monitor heat levels closely. Solar power for camping is an exciting technology that's rapidly changing the game. When it comes to … Read More » So, in addition to using it as a large hob, BBQ, and giant griddle, it gives you the option of having a gas oven when camping. We've used the Party Grill 600 a LOT, and it's been absolutely brill! For shorter trips with fewer people we wanted something that offered the same versatility, that would take up less space. On occasion the two of us want to escape with the dogs for a couple of nights. We want to travel light and take my small estate car. Montane Women’s Tucana Pants are a wardrobe staple for year-round comfort whilst walking and exploring

Measuring at a width of 360 millimeters, a depth of 360 millimeters, and a height of 420 millimeters, this compact grill is ideal for transportation and storage. The Party Grill 400 is designed with three legs, providing stability during use. However, it does not have castor wheels for easy mobility. We already showed above how you can use camping gear to create a 'day camp' for a great picnic, but don't forget you can get the camping gear out at home too. The 600 has all the same features as the 400 (minus the wok lid) but on a much larger scale. The legs are twice the length, which brings the grill to a comfortable standing height. There is also a blue plastic tray that hooks between the legs, making it more sturdy and providing a small table. We have shown how to cook pizzas on a Cadac, so we thought this would be a good comparison with the Campingaz Party Grill. Trekking between mountain huts is a sensational experience, and we’re going to let you into a secret: it’s best to do it outside of summer

On a cold windy Spring day, we headed off for Lake Tegid (Lake Bala), the largest natural lake in Wales, and set up a little day camp. My Party Grill 400 worked perfectly last year. This year, with the same half-full gas bottle, and no adjustments to anything, the flame burns more red, and leaves sooty deposits on the underside of all cooking surfaces.

If you've been browsing camping shops recently, you may have seen the new Campingaz Party Grill 600. When I looked at it, I thought it looked like a great kit for family camping. Fortunately, our friends at Campingaz agreed and sent us a sample to review.

Using it as an oven. With the lid closed, you can use the Party Grill as an oven. There's even a thermometer built into the lid. Costco Online UK Limited, UK Home Office, Hartspring Lane, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD25 8JS. Registered in England and Wales No. 8055444 This was a hands-on product review. The product was supplied to us to test and conduct the review. Price Guide The biggest difference between the two grills is the size and power. The 600 is a lump to carry about, 10.72 kg, but it provides loads of cooking space (52 x 99 cm on the stand) and serious fire power of 4000w. This firepower means less time waiting for the kettle to boil - a 2.5lt full kettle only took eight minutes – but this increased heat also means you will get less burn time from you fuel sources: 9hrs 30mins on R907 and 6 hrs 15mins on R904, compared to the 400’s 12 hrs and 30 min on R904 and 19 hrs and 30 min on R907.

We've not personally used a Cadac Stove, so we can't give you our opinion of using both. However, when Cadac demonstrated their stove to us, it had a similar design. When we went camping, I could cook breakfast on this hot plate, including heating water in the kettle. I love the compact size and that the grill comes with a handy carry case making it ideal for camping For our first meal with the Campingaz Party Grill, we put it to the test with our kid's favourite Pizzas! ;-)

It's lightweight when in its bag, making it practical to take for days out, such as to the beach. Cooking Versatility Usually, the pre-made pizza bases don't turn out so well at home, so we often make our own. But with the pizza stone, the pizzas turned out great. One thing I love about the Party Grill is the piezo ignition, which means you don’t need matches or a lighter to get it started. Every year, no matter how many lighters or matches we take with us, our camping trips always seem to end with all 10-15 of us sharing one lighter - a nightmare! A small gas bottle should power the stove for around 2.5 hours so it’s good for about 4-5 barbecues (obviously depending on how much you’re cooking!) So, if you can't have a campfire or BBQ, is there anything you can take camping that will give you a lot more cooking options than just a camping stove?
