Description

Hada Labo Anti-Aging Hydrator is a serum-like formula that is said to provide deep hydration while increasing your skin’s firmness and elasticity. The formula is said to absorb instantly so skin feels smooth, tighter, and renewed. You can use the Anti-Aging Hydrator after applying the Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion or on its own. Hada Labo Gokujyun Moisture Milk contains 3 kinds of hyaluronic acid, a powerful humectant, which is an ingredient that sits on the top layer of your skin, draws in moisture, slowing it from evaporating, and therefore keeping skin hydrated. In a way! Japanese lotions are considered a preparation step, one that sits in between cleansing and moisturizing. Designed to soften the skin, they are often followed with other moisturizing products (such as milks, emulsions and creams) which are layered on top. That said, though it’s not recommended by the brand, depending on your skin type and needs some people do use this as their only moisturizer. The Hada Labo range features hyaluronic acid which acts as a magnet for moisture, providing intense hydration to help smooth the skin. Hada Labo Lotion vs Milk

Traditionally in the UK, skincare regimes follow a simple three-step process: cleanse, tone and moisturise. But in Japan, it is popular to cleanse, hydrate and then moisturise. That is where Hada Labo Tokyo™ comes in: formulated for dry and dehydrated skin, this super skincare brand is designed to boost hydration by supplementing your skin with hyaluronic acid. Learn more about why their products are loved by the UK’s leading skincare influencers, below. The Gokujyun Hydrating Lotion has been a top-selling facial toner in Japan since it was released in 2004. There are two types available: the regular type (red) is suitable for normal to dry skin and the light type (green) for combination skin.Similar to my favourite Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser and other Hada Labo products, Hada Labo Moisturizer is called many different names like: Fragrance-free. First, I like that it’s fragrance-free. I really believe skincare products don’t need scent to be effective. A lot of people think that higher prices they pay to beauty products, better results they see on their skin. However, it’s not really true when it comes to Japanese beauty products. I agree that the quality of high-end brands’ beauty products are usually very good (also, you get great customer services at the stores), but there are numbers of amazing beauty products sold at Japanese drugstores including skin care and makeup products. These products are called “Puchipura Kosume” which means petit (small) price and they are popular among all generations. And btw, while Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Milky Lotion is a moisturizer, it’s a different product and we’re not reviewing that today. Hada Labo Skincare products include cleansers, lotions, milks, creams, serums, mists, masks, and more. Below we’ll give you the details on the top 5 best selling Hada Labo Skincare products.

The cornerstone ingredient of Hada Labo products is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally occurring in the human body that attracts and binds water. It acts as a lubricant in our eyes, joints, skin, and other tissues. Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by the body and helps to hydrate and plump skin. But after you reach the age 39, your body begins to produce less of it, and as a result, your skin can become more prone to developing wrinkles and dryness. While lots of skincare brands offer ranges which utilise hyaluronic acid, Hada Labo Tokyo™ has developed something truly unique and unlike anything else on the market: their products contain up to four different types of hyaluronic acid combined to make one supercharged skincare product! What types of hyaluronic acid does Hada Labo Tokyo™ use? If you’re looking for a really hydrating cream for winter, Klairs Fundamental Water Gel Cream is also worth looking into. Kind of. Hada Labo lotions are sometimes described as toners, as they have a similar liquid consistency and are applied at the same point in a skincare routine, immediately after cleansing. However, they serve a different purpose to the Western concept of a toner. Japanese lotions are not astringent, instead they are gentle and soften the skin, acting as a first layer of moisturization and preparing it for the steps that follow. Is Hada Labo lotion a moisturizer?

Where can I buy Hada Labo Tokyo™?

Hada Labo Moisturizer is a simple, no-frills, everyday moisturizer that’s formulated with 3 kinds of hyaluronic acid that hydrate and condition skin. Hada Labo is my go-to moisturizer in the cooler months (more on that below). It’s the last step in my skincare routine at night, and before sunscreen in the morning.

The Hada Labo Skin Plumping Gel Cream is a combination of a serum and moisturizer that is intended to improve skin hydration and texture. It features Super Hyaluronic Acid, an exclusive combination of three types of Hyaluronic Acid for long-lasting moisture. The hydrating face cream is lightweight, non-greasy and fast-absorbing, and is said to help your face feel softer and smoother. The Hada Labo Anti-Aging Facial Sheet Masks are made with soft cotton infused with an anti-aging serum to boost hydration, smooth the appearance of fine lines, and restore firmness. The masks contain Super Hyaluronic Acid, vitamin E, and collagen as key ingredients. After applying this sheet mask, it is recommended to leave the mask on for at least 10 minutes. What Are The Key Hada Labo Skincare Ingredients? In a rating scale of 1 to 5 — 5 being awesome — this product is a high 4 for me. It’s not a 5 because I can’t use it all year and availability is an issue. Other than that, this is a really good product to add to your regimen. Lotions (also known as skin conditioners or toners) are an essential step in Japanese skincare routines and are a unique product in Asian skincare that don’t really have a Western equivalent. While they have a watery consistency and are applied right after cleansing like Western toners, Japanese lotions are not astringent but are softening instead. Lotions are used to hydrate and soften the skin, preparing it for the deeper moisturizing steps that follow. To learn more, see our Japanese Skincare Routine guide. What is Hada Labo lotion?

The line-up includes face wash, toner, emulsion, cream, beauty serum and face mask. By using Gokujyun skin care products for the daily skin care routine, you could expect a great result for the healthy and dewy skin. The products of Gokujyun series are not only sold in Japan but available at drugstores in several Asian countries, too. In Japanese skincare though, while both products are meant to deliver moisture and hydration, “lotion” refers to a product similar to a toner while “milk” refers to a product more closely resembling a moisturizer. Hypoallergenic. I’m a big fan of Hada Labo because their products are simple and to the point. They only contain ingredients that are absolutely essential. I’ve been using Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Milk for a long time and my sensitive skin hasn’t had any bad reactions to it at all. It also works nicely with the rest of my skincare products. Hada Labo Moisturizing Cleansing Oil is designed to deep clean and gently remove dirt, excessive oil, heavy makeup, and even waterproof mascara. The formula is water-soluble and does not leave an unpleasant greasy feeling behind. One of the key ingredients in this cleansing oil is high purity Olea Europaea (olive) fruit oil. Olive oil contains several types of fatty acids, such as oleic, palmitic, and linoleic acid, as well as phenolic compounds that provide antioxidant benefit. Another type of oil in this product is Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, which is mostly comprised of long-chain fatty acid esters (97%), but also contains small amounts of vitamins, minerals, triglycerides, phospholipids, and tocopherols. Jojoba oil improves the skin’s barrier function, helps to prevent transepidermal water loss, and provides anti-inflammatory effects. Since oil absorbs oil, both olive oil and jojoba oil can effectively remove dirt, oil, and makeup from the skin, leaving it clean. The Medicated Gokujyun Skin Care Conditioner is a wipe-off type skin toner with coix seed extract and hyaluronic acid which prevent acne by cleansing excessive sebum and dirt within pores and keep the skin moisturized. For acne prone skin, it’s recommended to use together with Gokujyun Hatomugi Face Wash Foam.
