Description

Coral has always been different, standing out from her mermaid sisters in a society where blending in is key. Worse yet, she fears she has been afflicted with the dreaded Disease, said to be carried by humans—emotions. Can she face the darkness long enough to surface in the light? For a clean fiction book discussing and having mental health as it’s main topic, it did a good job. It’s so very important to know that everyone is going through something that you may not see. Kindness goes a long way.

In January 1981, the Coral Group was acquired by Bass plc and although it continued to retain the Coral name it became an integral part of the growing Bass Leisure.

CHAPTER XVI.

Coral, a modern-reimagining of The Little Mermaid, follows three perspectives through their struggles with mental illness.

HOPE! Oh my goodness the ultimate cinnamon roll. Hope was the sweetest thing and I really just wanted to wrap her up and keep her someplace safe. Her story proves to be a reason why children really shouldn't be prematurely introduced to technology and social media. Now all I need is a cinnamon roll emoji... I recommend this book to 13/14+ (depends on your sensitivity level), but please be aware that this tale revolves around the blunt themes of suicide, high anxiety, and depression. Stay safe and remember that you are not nothing. 💞💞💞 I loved the theme that love gives us a reason to live. The author used the example of other people's love as the lifeline during hard times, but that could easily apply to the love of Christ too. Our lives are valuable because Christ died for us, and He loves us so much. Suicide is never the solution, even if it seems to be the last resort. In the end, it only causes more pain to the people around you and ultimately, you.

Coral chain bought in MBO for 860m pounds". The Scotsman. 3 August 2002. Archived from the original on 1 August 2017 . Retrieved 28 November 2016. I've wanted to read this for a while and when I heard it was a Little Mermaid retelling (of the og story by Hans Christian Anderson, not the Disney adaption) that only sweetened the deal. And the way this was written was so utterly brilliant. It really conveyed the tone and emotions the author poured into it. 😲🤭

Age recommendation: 16/17+ for triggers (I think that it'd be fine for younger readers as long as they have an understanding of these triggers previously) Coral is a chain of betting shops in the United Kingdom, owned by Entain. The Coral business was established by Joe Coral in 1926. It grew into an entertainment conglomerate before undergoing a series of ownership changes starting in 1981. As of 2015, Coral had 1,845 shops across the country. [1] History [ edit ]Triggers: Suicidal Depression, Anxiety, Synesthesia (idk if that's a trigger or not tbch), Survivor's Guilt, Cutting, Suicide, unwanted advances (Note: although these are all thoroughly explored, the author conveyed them in such a way that it isn't disgraced nor encouraged. It is skillfully taken on, and I believe it is a good read for people that are in a safe spot in their own mental health journeys to see them from other's povs) Next is Brooke, and boy I looked forward to her povs. She was also naive (which kills me), but a cool character. My heart hurts so much. I... cried. Which I never do. Like not just tearing up but I actually cried. (I also stayed up until 3am to finish the book, which I also never do. No regrets lol) I'd originally posted a review that was pretty long, but still didn't meet up to what I wanted it to be, so almost 6 months later I'm reattempting.
