Crawford's unauthorised work was published in Woman's Own in the UK and in the Ladies' Home Journal in the United States, becoming a sensation on both sides of the Atlantic. The fairy-tale story is still saccharine to the nth degree, but once the basic premise is established, it rolls along acceptably. By being tamed, something goes from being ordinary and just like all the others to being special and unique. There were three books in the series, which ended in a similar way as the original: Molly's Heart, The Room on the Attic, and Home at Last.

The prince consoles the narrator by saying that he only need look at the stars to think of the prince's loveable laughter, and that it will seem as if all the stars are laughing. The hair journey is a special one and involves some truly incredible people along the way – as well as a wonderful mix of selflessness and skill. The novella thus takes a more politicized tack with an anti-war sentiment, as 'to gargle' in French is an informal reference to 'honour', which the author may have viewed as a key factor in military confrontations between nations. Less an actors' film than a series of elaborate tableaux, it has a visual eloquence that extends well beyond the limits of its story.Shōkōjo Sēra: a 1978 Japanese anime adaptation featured in episodes 105-115 (eleven 10-minute segments in total) of Manga Sekai Mukashi Banashi (1976-1979), an anthology series based on fairy tales and literature classics produced by Dax International and Madhouse. Saint-Exupéry stated it was the only way he could work, as once he started a writing project it became an obsession.

Courtiers believed that Crawford was deeply under the influence of her husband George Buthlay, whom she married after her retirement, and that he pressured her to capitalise on her royal connections, as he himself did. After being translated by Bonifacio del Carril, The Little Prince was first published in Spanish as El principito in September 1951 by the Argentine publisher Emecé Editores. This adaptation was mostly based on the 1985 Japanese anime series Princess Sarah, which was hugely popular with Filipino audiences during the 1990s.

Randolph's Indian associate, comes to notice Sara from the neighboring attic, overhearing her imaginative stories. From the huge head of an Indian deity, used as a place where stories are told and children play, to the agile way a tear drips from Sara's eye to a letter read by her father in the rain, A Little Princess has been conceived, staged and edited with special grace.

Although the royal family regularly drove past her front door on their way to Balmoral Castle, they never visited. Miss Minchin throws Sara a lavish birthday party, hoping to extort more money from her father, but his solicitor arrives with news that Richard has been killed in battle; the British government has seized his assets, leaving Sara penniless. Shelf rubbing to wraps, no chips or tears, paper rubbed at head and tail of the spine, edges of spine rubbed. Outside Richard saves Sara and the two are happily reunited while Miss Minchin angrily walks away, finally accepting defeat. Multiple versions of its many pages were created and its prose then polished over several drafts, with the author occasionally telephoning friends at 2:00a.
