This one gave me some The Firm vibes and I loved every minute of it. Getting caught was not an option and I enjoyed the way the author kept the pace steady. A woman attends a funeral, standing in the shadows and watching in agony as her sons grieve. But she is unable to comfort them - or reveal her secret. Heather is an investable character, I just couldn’t help but root for her after reading the ins and outs of her wrongful conviction and subsequent 9 year stint in prison for the murder of her husband Liam. Heather’s journey from being released to trying to piece together what actually happened that horrific night all while being a mother who has been wrenched apart from her two sons for over a decade made for such a compelling story. Fast-paced and gripping, T.M. Logan has truly outdone himself with his newest masterpiece!I am left stunned after reading The Mother i want to just type wow but who wants to read that as a review?
