Next is removal is a pain. It seems that the idea is you get one per tool and leave it on. This may work for some but I want to swap between the Makita and Ryobi batteries, and also move the adapter between tools as I use them infrequently. The bit you squeeze to remove is just a recessed hook and needs a good bit of pressure to bend it out the way. It's not a spring loaded button like other adapters, and I notice newer products by badapter. I mostly use Makita now after a bit of a false start on Ryobi for some garden tools. I also have the Ryobi hand vac and the glue gun which is a bit of a unique Ryobi item. Not a lot to say about performance. It enables the connection between one make of tool to another make of battery. It works.....simple.
