If you want an interesting concept about different levels of consciousness, know, how letting go positively influences your life in each area, and how to let go, Letting Go is a good start. With courage, there is the willingness to take chances and to let go of former securities. There is the willingness to grow and benefit from new experiences. This involves the capacity to admit mistakes without indulging in guilt and self-recrimination. Our sense of self-worth is not diminished by looking at areas that need improvement. We are able to admit the presence of problems without being diminished. As a result, energy, time, and effort are put into self-improvement. On this level, statements of intention and purpose are much more powerful and envisioned results tend to manifest. We are much more enterprising and creative, because our energies are not drained by the constant preoccupation with emotional or physical survival. Because of greater flexibility, there is a willingness to examine issues with a view to changing overall meaning and context. There is a willingness to risk shifting paradigms.” The nostalgia seemed to follow me wherever I went. I hardly felt settled. By longing for the past, I have been missing out on the present. Letting go is like the sudden cessation of an inner pressure or the dropping of a weight. It is accompanied by a sudden feeling of relief and lightness, with an increased happiness and freedom. It is an actual mechanism of the mind, and everyone has experienced it on occasion.” No matter what is going on in life, keep the steadfast intention to surrender negative feelings as they arise.

Although a specific belief can be cancelled and energy to it can be refused, it is generally a waste of time to try to change thinking itself. We surrender a feeling by allowing it be there without condemning, judging, or resisting it. We simply look at it, observe it, and allow it to be felt without trying to modify it. With the willingness to relinquish a feeling, it will run out in due time. But that’s not to say that there is nothing good in “ Letting Go“. The Pathway of Surrender can be freeing and, indeed, help many people’s mental health. Review The stress and anger caused by our unpleasant feelings cannot be coped with through escapism or suppression.Letting Go" is a must-read for anyone on a quest for personal growth, spirituality, and self-improvement. Whether you're new to the realm of self-help books or a seasoned seeker, Dr. David Hawkins' insights will inspire you to embrace a life of conscious living, emotional well-being, positive thinking, and unlimited possibilities. Letting Go” is a must-read for anyone on a quest for personal growth, spirituality, and self-improvement. Whether you’re new to the realm of self-help books or a seasoned seeker, Dr. David Hawkins’ insights will inspire you to embrace a life of conscious living, emotional well-being, positive thinking, and unlimited possibilities.

The main point of this book is to show you how to best handle your thoughts and emotions. To not judge or resist when you are feeling hard emotions or thinking negatively. Simply observe and let yourself experience it fully, the good- bad – beautiful – and ugly. When you let go of labeling things as ‘bad’, that emotion can physically move through and release from the body. Love is more than an emotion or a thought; it’s a way of being which can only be achieved when we surrender our negative emotions. The energy of love is so high and powerful, that we can heal our bodies and help others heal by being love. You'll learn how to be present in the moment and discover who you really are in this book. It's a spiritual book, but the advice is solid and will force you to rethink your own life.Since I can remember, I have always been a sentimental girl. Holding tightly to any possessions which reminded me of childhood memories, holding tightly to people I have met in my teens, even though I no longer felt any meaningful connection other than shared memories. There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind – you are the one who hears it.” – Michael A. Singer, The Untethered Soul Thoughts are caused by suppressed and repressed feelings. When a feeling is let go, thousands or even millions of thoughts that were activated by that feeling disappear. In Letting Go, he shares from his clinical and personal experience that surrender is the surest route to total fulfillment. To overcome blame, it is necessary to look at the secret satisfaction and enjoyment we get out of self-pity, resentment, anger, and self-excuses, and to begin to surrender all of these little payoffs.”

Now in this state of deep and undisturbed peace, he spent two years sitting around on park benches before becoming a spiritual teacher. Learn how to navigate challenges with grace and emerge as a stronger, more resilient version of yourself. By incorporating the principles of surrender, “Letting Go” provides practical tools for personal growth and transformation. I struggled with the concept of letting go for a long time. I just couldn’t wrap my head around how to “do” it. The more I tried to let go, the more I doubted if I’m doing it correctly. It’s just a matter of if you want to ascend the mountain from the east, the west, the north, or the south.Grief (too much grief drives people away and it’s true, says the author, that when you laugh, the world laughs with you and when you cry, you cry alone.)

Another thing to keep in mind is that letting go is a natural ability we have. Children do it all the time without thinking about it. Toll argues that the only way to really gain enlightenment is to stop worrying about the past or the future and instead focus on the here and now. You should read this book if you want to focus on the here and now instead of worrying about what could or might not happen in the future. “Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway” by Susan Jeffers The mind would like us to think that there is such a thing as “justifiable anger,” which takes the form of moralistic indignation. If we look at moralistic indignation, we will see that it is propped up by vanity and pride. We like to think how right we are in a situation and how “wrong” the other persons are.”After reading a few books on mindfulness, I got the idea that the secret behind staying in the present is letting go of the past. I searched for practical tips on letting go and found this book. If you want to forget something or someone, never hate it, or never hate him/her. Everything and everyone that you hate is engraved upon your heart; if you want to let go of something, if you want to forget, you cannot hate.” but our self with a small “s” actually enjoys an impoverished life and all the negativity that goes with it: feeling unworthy, being invalidated, judging others and ourselves, being inflated, always “winning” and being “right,” grieving the past, fearing the future, nursing our wounds, craving assurance, and seeking love instead of giving it.” So I'm holding off on actually rating until I finish the audio book...but so far, I am deeply unimpressed. This book would be about half it's actual length if you cut the lists to manageable size and removed the outlandish claims (such as it being able to cure allergies). It usual riddled with false claims about auras (debunked) and other New age claptrap.
