They have a mainstream-friendly sound signature with plenty of bass and explosion-worthy impact. I used them for music, games, and movies and enjoyed each and every one. They’re not going to blow you away with their audiophile-level detail retrieval, but I think that’s fine for most people, especially at their budget-friendly price. How long you can wear them? Well, battery life depends heavily on your phone or laptop. The playtime on a single charge with ANC on ranges from 4,5 hours with the LDAC codec (modern Android phones) to 6,5 hours on iPhone, which uses the AAC codec. Turn ANC off, and battery life is extended to respectively 5,5 or 7,5 hours. Still, SOUNDPEATS does an awful lot right here and I can’t help but be impressed. The true wireless space has evolved by leaps and bounds over the last several years and the Capsule3 are a perfect example of what’s possible when you cut the cord but still want to maintain your budget. Switching to a different Bluetooth codec didn’t help to extend the range. We haven’t encountered any audio stutter when having the transmitting device in vicinity.

Sub-bass and very deep notes are well covered by the extension of this TWS but we would not rate it as a class-leading basshead one. The Active Noise Cancelling is surprisingly effective. It reduces noise around you in the entire range, lower sounds even more effectively than the higher ones. Chatter, a radio playing nearby, or distant traffic - you may still hear it all, but it's so heavily softened, the Mini Pro HS brings rest to your head even without playing music.

Hear What You Want to Hear

As is the case with most true wireless earbuds, the Capsule3 Pro use silicone tips to provide a tight fit in your ears. This keeps the earbuds from falling out, but is also important for noise cancellation as well as the overall sound of the earbuds. The tips on the earbuds worked for me out of the box, but there are two other sizes included in the box. Most lower frequency are being cancelled except for some high frequency which Capule 3 Pro struggles at, i find this to be normal for budget priced TWS which is totally fine given the asking price

Our first introduction to SoundPEATS app was when testing the Air3 Deluxe. For those earbuds, custom EQ offered 7 frequency bands with +/-3dB boost or decrease. The Capsule 3 Pro boasts a balanced sound with a warm character. Female and higher male vocals are somewhat forward in the music, but are cut off before they become sharp, just like brighter instruments. As lower-mids are boosted (and therefore darker electronic tones, drums, and lower male vocals) the Capsule has a warmer-than-average sound. Meanwhile, there's a solid mid-bass that doesn't give off the tightest thumps, yet energizes enough. The sub-bass can dive nicely deep, and feels more natural than SoundPEATS Opera's later in this comparison. The sound may not be as outspoken as the Opera's, it isn't very detailed, or the most vibrant when it comes to vocal performance, but the Capsule 3 Pro provides a pleasant, smooth, and warm ride - easy to enjoy in pretty much all music genres. The SoundPEATS app is definitely a little more mature these days, although some of the experimental features are again missing, with Soundpeats opting for stability over features. Adaptive EQ, like on the MPHS, has been left out, and really you only have a few functions available - ANC toggle, single-touch toggle, and gaming mode toggle. You do also have 9 EQ presets and a 9-band equaliser (-20Hz to +14KHz) so lots of room here to tailor your own preferred sound.

Technology of the SoundPEATS Capsule3 Pro

The extra balanced armature can’t prevent the SoundPEATS Opera 05 from sounding artificial, and on top of that, the sound is more tiring to listen to than the Opera 03. It's not worth spending the extra money. Battery Life​The CP3 have a lot going for them. The SOC chipset is really a great chip, in that, even though I am using LDAC, with ANC on, it is advertised to still give you 4-5 hrs. of battery. Without using these battery eaters, you get around 7-8 hrs. Each earbud has 35 Mah which is pretty good considering that the buds are not that large. Somehow Soundpeats cram a lot of tech inside these housings. SoundPEATS Capsule3 Pro are overall quite comfortable and remain stable during workouts. But their relatively big housing makes you constantly aware that something is in your ears.

It looks like Capsule3 Pro are glued together from 5 or even 6 pieces, which increases the chance of potentially breaking open. That said, you would truly have to abuse them to make that happen. Mariana Trench” by Gabrielle Aplin has a nice timbre to her voice. She does sound a hair thin, but her voice is melodic on the CP3. Using LDAC, female voices like Gabrielle’s are energetic enough while not coming across recessed or too veiled. Thankfully I did not hear any sharpness or glare as Soundpeats leveled off the upper mids before anything grating took place. While females aren’t the fullest or bodied, they are crisp and forward enough to highlight a woman’s voice nicely.The buds weigh 4.52g - this is around average, and with thoughful weight displacement applied to the design, the buds sit very comfortably and securely in your ears without the need for continued readjustment. All of SoundPEATS' stem buds weigh between 4.36 and 4.71g - only really the weight of the battery separating them. The SoundPEATS Capsule 3 Pro are active noise cancelling earphone, which means that the unit is capable of cancelling and isolating from noises far better than passive headphones. Battery life is one of the headline features of the Capsule3 Pro, although as with all ANC and LDAC buds, it can vary depending on your usage. My findings were as follows: A special highlight of the new app version 1.2.8 is the personalised sound adjustment. Here, you can carry out a short listening test with sine tones at three different volumes in eight frequency bands, and from this, a corresponding equaliser curve is then created. If you do this test carefully, the result is a clear improvement in the sound, and this can be repeated at any time. The only disadvantage is that the algorithm works by subtraction. If you make an A/B comparison, the unprocessed signal always sounds somewhat louder, making a decent comparison difficult. Even more problematically, the reduction is subtracted from the maximum possible volume of the headphones, so depending on the strength of the equalisation, it can result in these in-ears being a bit too quiet even at maximum volume. It’s strange because they aren’t bigger than EarFun Air Pro 3, but we still notice them more.As expected, the Opera 05 indeed has more emphasis on the higher regions. However, emphasis doesn't mean refinement. It mostly adds splashiness to the sound. Upper-mid instruments like violins, cymbals and also higher-pitched (female) vocals can strike as hissy, sibilant, and thin. The highs are tiring to listen to. The case can be easily opened with one hand. The buds are held magnetically and do not fall out, even with vigorous shaking.
