Projects Watches is an interesting brand, putting out low cost quartz watches driven not be fashion, but by design aesthetic. We see our timepieces as a token of creative expression, and a symbol of how art can be experienced as a part of the everyday experience. Of course, this isn’t Sherman’s first foray into the world of fashion; Raf Simons cited her as inspiration for his most recent collection, she collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a handbag and starred in a 90s Comme des Garçons campaign.

The prototype shows how an on-body interface might work: you swipe left to unlock the watch, and apps are then displayed along your arm.The one piece band is made of silicone and the Twirler watch is also available in a black version (pictured at the bottom).

Artistic expression, and the celebration of creating, should never be limited to a museum, gallery, or your Instagram feed. The projector uses three lasers of red, blue, and green, and the projection is bright enough to be seen outdoors. The watch itself is 40mm in diameter and less than 8mm tall, so it is a thin enough to pass for a dress watch.
