So since then my only issue has been mobile signal/reception. The 12 Mini is meant to have 4 antenna's compared to only 2 for older phones (I think the last iPhone to have 2 antennae was the 11). But placed in the usual spot in the room the 12 Mini constantly only has 1 bar of mobile reception, while my older iPhone 7 had 2 bars? I switched the mobile data on the 12 Mini to "4G only" but still get the same result. What’s surprising is that, despite the tiny 2,227mAh battery, the iPhone 12 mini lasted as long as it did in our video rundown battery test. 14hrs 28mins isn’t a particularly special result when most flagship Android phones these days approach and exceed the 20-hour mark with regularity but it is at least a better result than the iPhone SE, which couldn’t get past 12 hours.

While the 5.4in screen is excellent, it is small and cramped by modern standards; if you are looking to upgrade from an iPhone 6-style phone it is very similar in size. The iPhone SE is a similar size, therefore, but its design, technology and features are far behind the 12 mini.Anyway after resetting the new iPhone and restoring data from iCloud the 12 Mini started performing much better. Battery was lasting a lot longer and I was not experiencing any issues with App's not loading. I was able to log in to all the Apps again in the end and things were ok. Regardless of the smaller capacity in the iPhone 12 mini, the battery life on a single charge still remains at a good level with up to 10 hours of continuous video streaming for example. Not a good idea.. as I was using the new iPhone I noticed some Apps would just open to a blank screen and would not load. I also noticed severe battery drain. The next day I barely used it most of the day, and the entire battery drained itself doing basically nothing.
