Boogie said: “What a journey this has been. Who knew a comment in January could lead to all this? This is what I love about our listeners – the fact that together, we can create something totally unique.

I too used to love local radio but these days I tune in for the music. Local radio doesn't seem to have the same appeal to me now as it used to do but again up here in Scotland most of it is networked anyway. If I want any local info I can find news, weather and traffic reports online anyway. I think it's been made pretty clear recently that Bauer are no longer willing to piss about making major exceptions. I wouldn't be surprised if Scotland's GHR is a copy of Wales (with a scottish evening opt out obviously), the breakfast show and not a sausage more. ARLENE is on holiday this week so Boogie is joined by Lynne Hoggan, who hosts the Forth One weekend overnight show. Up until a good few years ago Forth 1 was also one of the stations I would listen to. As well as Forth 2 and Kingdom FM.

How can I download the Forth 1 app?

Sounds like this has been in the pipeline for a while but stopping in the height of pandemic wasnt seen as the most appropriate point. But the good news is they will continue on Greatest hits breakfast They had both trained exceptionally hard to meet the challenges of walking 52 miles in 14 hours and it tested them to the limit.

Most people (ie normal listeners, not radio geeks like us) aren't listening all day and analysing the output. The y are just dipping in and out and likely don't notice or aren't bothered about the repetitive and narrow playlist. I find listening to Tay 2 increasingly annoying - even with a top class breakfast show from Ewan and Cat - because of all the great music from the four decades they are covering that they don't play. The Canadian company that make it insist only three tablespoons of Sexcereal will boost your love life. Graham Bryce, Chief Operating Officer for Bauer Media Audio UK, said: "Forth has been the leading commercial radio station for Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife for 47 years. I’m so happy with what we’ve created and how we’ve turned an 80s song into something relevant and relatable for today’s audience. If you missed it, or just want something to cheer you up, there is a video online at www.forthone.com . And Forth 1 breakfast presenters Boogie and Arlene Stuart will be hosting a Sunday evening show together from 7pm.

It would need to be someone Scottish so probably Euan McGregor. He’d need a lot of make-up though to make him much uglier than he is ;)

Well that's another name that could be brought into the fold. Even a wee rejig with Grant at 10am with the top 10@10 and webster at drivetime.

Wake up with Boogie In The Morning, live across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and Falkirk every weekday on Forth 1, 6am to 10am. The award winning team of Boogie, Arlene and producer Marty will make you smile every morning!I suppose their rationale is that whenever you turn on GHR you're going to hear something familiar, but I'm afraid that in most cases turning on GHR I hear the same old tired and overplayed oldie and rapidly listen to something else. They need a Scottish drive show though not mayo in my opinion. Starting to look like drive won't be alan Edwards though. Wonder if an older voice from hits Scotland will make the move either Bowie or Boogie and Arlene. A wild card would be Fred macaulay on air every day I wonder if Cassi has in her contract 6 shows a week as obviously Clyde have that legacy local 12-4pm Sunday slot. Move Cassi to the 9-12 slot with a co-host and then they can align Clyde with rest of network 12-4?
